The Force Awakens / Re: Tiny The Force Awakens Millennium Falcon?

Not every kid will have $100+ to drop on a bmf.  Falcon frenzy will need satiated.  I think kids will like something like this then.  I don't buy kids might.

$100+  If there's a BMF available for under $175 I'll be shocked.

Sounds like there will be a BMF type release, slightly different than the original and might fire Nerf darts.

I agree

HTS has bothered to ship my Stormtrooper yet. They were suppose to ship on 7/29. It is still sitting at not shipped status. I think they need more trained monkeys.

Got my shipping notice today (supposed to ship 7/29 as well). I assume they are still trying to sort through the valid or declined CC orders.

Other Collectibles / Re: Box busters

Yesterday at tru I came across the first toys with the TFA box art on them. These things are called Box Busters. They are boxes that unfold to show a battle scene complete with little ships. It comes with dice and chips and a play map. I guess it is some kind of game. The big set had a death star that explodes. Anyone see these things yet?

New set list leaks revealing new TFA planet name

HasbroToyShop hinted that it will be after 8am ET before they go live.

Was talking to a casual collector friend last night and he reminded me about the handy shopping guide Hasbro made for us in 2008 for the CW Movie Midnight Madness launch.  He asked me if Hasbro had made one for 9/4 yet and I let him know about Disney and the wall of silence we've got this time.

I had forgotten all about that Hasbro PDF...  maybe Hasbro will surprise us and get us something like that via Hasbro Pulse closer to 9/4?

God, I forgot all about that thing. I probably still have the one printed somewhere all marked up.

Bought The Ghost, The Phantom and Rebels speeder bike set (Ezra, Sabine and ST) on clearance at WM. Plus had to get the Ant-man set after seeing the film last week.

Sold out for remainder of SDCC. :o

The Black Series 3.75" Figures / Re: San Diego Comic-Con 2015

Some of the offline conversations have been just as fervent. What I'm looking forward to least about the Hasbro panel reveals will be the "told you so" commentaries afterward. The whole entitled sect of collectors have become more vocal and intolerable over the last couple years. People still don't get that the market and model for toys has evolved. Adam Pawlus recently wrote a damn fine "state of the hobby" in his latest QnA. I encourage folks to read the final 6 paragraphs.

Ultimately for me, it makes no difference. More limited edition "collector" figures? Great, bring 'em on! More 5 POA "crap"? I'm fine with that prospect too. Hasbro cured me of my completist attitude a long time ago to the point I've sold off some pieces that just didn't matter to me - comic packs, Evolutions sets, EU items, some 6" figures, etc. I've branched out to other things as the Hasbro "collector focused" era has wound down and that has allowed me to appreciate more foreign market products -- even LEGO.
