I feel the subject is too 'sacred' to make a movie about. Kind of like Pearl Harbor.
On top of that, some big movie company (and Hollywood superstar(s)) is making money off of it - to me, that's just not right.

Four New York charitiable organizations will be the recipients of donations from the release of the upcoming film 'World Trade Center.'
The charities will receive 10 percent of all ticket sales in every theater across the US - more than 2000 - for the film's opening five days, 8/9 through 8/13.
50% of the total donation will go to the WTC Memorial Foundation.
Obviously the studio and actors will "make money", but they are also giving back – and there's nothing wrong with that.
