Pretty lame. I still wonder how he won and what happened to the other guy who was ahead.

He was invented by the gov. so they could raise the price of oil  :P

True, a redecoed "blaster damage" Aayla would be nice if they chose not to go the pack-in accessory route.

I agree with you ruiner... I think that this is going to be one of those general battle packs like the Jedi vs Sidious one with no bonus item being included.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: '06 Holiday Figure

For some reason Jabba/Gardulla doesn't say "Holiday Season" to me.  ;)

And I'd trust a "wiki entry" about as much as a Oprah Book of the Month recommendation.  :P

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2007 Coin Pack-Ins

I like the coin gimmick as well. Especially for us older guys, the coins harken back to those later stages of SW collecting in the 80s. Those original POTF coins had a certain weight and sound to them, hopefully these new coins will play off of that as well.

What about Paulie's droid butler/servant or a Briget Nielson figure from IV.

Did Rob Coleman work on designs? I thought that he was just lead animator,

True, but I'm sure he animated characters that were ultimately dropped/edited, so it would be nice to see one or two of those to get immortalized in plastic.  ;)

Maybe it's the designer in me, but I like the packaging for the "Signature Series" McQuarrie Trooper the best. I really dig the drafting/mockup look to the SW logo and the McQuarrie Signature is a great touch.

Hmmm, I wonder if we will get concepts from other artists like Joe Johnston, Doug Chang, Rob Coleman, Trisha Biggar (Padme Concepts anyone) or Ryan Church.

Yep, they look cardboard to me as well.

I'd possibly buy the Jedi/Sidious one on clearance just to get the robes. Otherwise an easy pass at full price.
