Schwing!

That's cool.  Anyone here have there collection displayed on one of those racks?

I have a MOC R2-D2 and C-3PO that my dad saved.  Of course my mom cut out the upc for the Boba Fett but I still have them with a hole in the back.  Every other Star Wars toy from my childhood was sold around 1988.

I saw R2-D2 at Source Comics today but it was $80.  I thought about buyingit but I wanted both droids at once.

Is that the store by the fair grounds? I'm tempted now. Dang you!!!  ;)

It's still there and 20% off for FCBD.

Nice buys.  Thanks for sharing.

All this vintage talk and sharing makes me want to dig out my MOC collection that has been unseen since I bought them in the early 1990s.

Picked up the Chewie today for 50% off at Gentle Giant's website... couldn't resist at that price. There are so many others that I'd like; Fett, Jawa, R2, Vader, Hammerhead, Greedo, etc., but I'm mainly holding out for Yoda and maybe a power droid.

That $40 Chewbacca is tempting.  How much was shipping?

Are they skipping Power Droid?  I sure hope not.  That was my all time favorite figure when I was 4.

Ok, I looked over what else is coming out and I think Greedo, Hammerhead, Death Star Droid and Walrus Man are on my list.

Oh, and I missed Sand People and Jawa too.

Not really sure I will ever buy the human characters at this scale.  Mostly just the aliens.

I just bought R2-D2 and C-3PO.  Also, I plan to buy R5-D4 and a Power Droid if they make that one.  I really wouldn't mind having everything but I think I'll stick to just the Droids if possible.

I sure hope Gentle Giant doesn't start making some 1982/83+ ARAH GI Joe Jumbo figures.  Those would really be hard to pass on.

Anyone still reading these?  With all the different Joe lines I have to constantly re-check the covers while I am reading to recall which universe the story is in!

The new scratch-off cover is an awesome gimmick and was very successful with me, I bought two so I could scratch one off and leave the other intact.  I experienced a real child-like thrill scratching off that mask.  They should do something like that more often, and wouldn't it have been cool if different covers had different people under the mask, distributed in random assortments?

Which comic had the scratch-off?

I probably won't buy them.  I missed out/passed on so many exclusives since the 25th line ended that I no longer feel like a completist of this new stuff.  However, I may buy a Zarana if I see one on ebay for cheap someday.

I'm going to pass on Footloose and get a couple Man of Evil figures and accessory sets.  My Henchman figure will now have a boss.

These are starting to warm the Target shelves around here.  Hopefully, sales pick up when kids start buying them or requesting them for gifts.  Otherwise, clearance in December.

Has anyone seen the Series 5 minifigures show up at retail yet in the US?

I've been going on an Alien Conquest binge lately, what with my disgust with Hasbro's distribution and all.  The Alien Striker (5 bucks for an Alien Defense Unit Human, Alien, and tiny alien skimmer) set is particularly addictive, and I've been buying multiples of them when I go into TRU, and ordering extra minifigure heads from Lego's website to do headswaps.  Very cool stuff, and the UFO noise that the Alien Mothership makes never fails to bring a grin to my face. :)

I saw the new Alien mother ship set at Costco the other day for $45.  Really want that Supreme Commander figure.

I tried to buy the Starscream too.  Had it in my cart but couldn't get any further and then it sold out.  Thought it was worth a try but I really didn't need this thing.
