Damn them to hell, and their green blooded, pointy eared, bowl cut friends too!

What the hell is that?

The finale ticked me off.  I can't beleive I invested 24 hours in the frakkin' show and they give me major cliffhangers - probably to be resolved in a two hour special some time this fall.

I enjoyed the season but the meta-conspiracy is starting to have an X-Files type vibe to it.  Ever expanding, ever nefarious, never explainable.

Until recently JD was my main/only outlet for SW related news.  As the news coverage understably evaporated, I have found myself less invested, staying largely within the geographic collecting board.

Regular updates will definitely be a welcome addition, as would the column suggested by Justin - deciphering the action figure business.  Jeff always makes a lot of sense to me.

JD's checklists have been awesome references, and I hope those can be updated regularly.  A place for tracking case assortments would also be nice - would be a nice complement for the DPCI thread.

While this is a site focused largely on the collecting, opening up the news to other SW-related developments would be great as well.

Michael was more more than patient with me as I muddled my way through the winter.  Super fast payment and great to make a deal.

I am grateful for all of Jeff's work, which I shoudl have mentioend when I first heard about this.  He has helped make JD my main stop for SW related surfing.  I understand why one needs to find some more balance in life, so good for you, Jeff.

I am already missing all of your great news posts, so hopefully we'll see more soon.

They have something called a customer satsifaction case.  It has multiples of all 18.  The first McDonald's I went to was very accommodating.  The manager went back, grabbed the case, and pulled all 18 toys for me - 15 minutes of work for her that she did not have to do.  I was able to buy all of them a la carte.

No they dont...Its called on the days we do brower(restock) we get all the toys seperated in their own case. usually 2/3 different types in a box. So that BS of we only have so and so is a lie. They are all in the back room however we do usually have strict rules about which are allowed to open but if a customer insists we simply go to the back with manager permision and take a knife to each box to make a big enough hole to grab 1 of each toy. We may have had those cases way back when but no longer. Each box just has a nubmer on them in which we have to follow order.

Jango Tat - I am not sure how it works where you are; all I can say is what I witnessed with my two eyes.  The manager brought out a sealed case with the words "Star Wars Customer Satisfaction case" printed on the side.  She opened it in front of me and pulled out each and every figure from the box, sorting through them to make sure I got all 18.  So - no lie, just a very customer friendly manager.  And she did this at lunch time.

They are goofy enough to match up well with my collection of Taco Bell and Burger King ones.  Yeah, they are for kids

This was in Hammond, LA, which is about a half hour east of Baton Rouge.  They've had big clearances like this in the past too.

HOLY CRAP  That is my old Wal-Mart when I lived in LA.
