Red Wings 3 pack
Well, for those not following along merrily, there is now a version of the Detroit Red Wings 3 pack with the road jerseys (red) versus the original release in the home (white) jerseys.

These are a Meijer exclusive in Michigan and surrounding states only (5 states total?).  So the first question that begs to be asked is can anybody help me with this?  I don't need them shipped in the annoyingly long box so that should help.  I can paypal in advance too.  But I only need the red version, not the white.

I can imagine this might tick off a lot of people.  Both red and white Yzermans available cheaply and now the red Hull too?  Also what will this mean for the Cujo figure?  Is he going to be a flashback jersey to Edmonton or St. Louis?   Will he still be made?  Or will they hope he finds a new home for the new figure's jersey?  Confusing. :)

Meijer is based out of Michigan and also has stores in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Kentucky.  I hit 5 Meijer on Monday in my town and all they had was the white jersey 3 pack.  Bastards

Its a given that Cujo will be on a new team in the fall, so Cujo 2 will have a new jersey

Hmm, I might have to see if I can find any Meijers stores on my way out to Chicago on thursday.  See if I can score one of these Red Wings three pack variants.

I spotted the Urlacher/Beth Favrah 2 pack at SuperTarget this afternoon. I'm just waitin' a couple of months for the Gannon/Brooks 2 pack.

Figured you guys would like to know, though.  :P

Big question for me will be whether Selanne is in a Jets (Winnipeg) uniform as a chase figure.  There've been enough quasi-answers to indicate that it could happen, so I'm pretty pumped for NHL6.

Football stuff looks good enough to.  Just ordered a case of NFL6.

Ok,
Is that the reg or the chase?  Stupid question, but I haven't checked yet.

No need to fear.  NHL5 was the only Canadian exclusive SERIES they've done.  There have been a couple of other Canadian exclusives, like 2 2-packs, and the Team Canada 3-packs.  The stuff that's just been unveiled will be available all across North America.

I think Canadians fear Canadian exclusive series' more than our US counterparts do ;) :P  It sure wasn't much of an exclusive series either.  Distribution has been bad in terms of number of cases and stores carrying it.  TRU's put out three cases each.  Whoo hoo ::)  Walmarts probably put out 15 cases in most stores, but that's down considerably from NHL4 where "my" Walmart put out about 40 cases in total.  Other stores have yet to stock it, so in general distribution is awful.

I did fine with it, but I ordered two cases and I'm well enough connected with hockey collectors that I had everything at one point.  I'm now downsizing it to what I want to keep.

End of story, I hope they never do an exclusive series for Canada again.  STuff like the 3 packs or 2 packs are manageable, this wasn't.

I just wish that McFarlane had made at least one set of Team USA.  I thought the Team Canada series was really cool, But, we came in second in the Olympics to Canada, and there were already several players from Team USA who were in the Sports Picks line.  Where's the love for US Hockey?
