A good idea Dale, but Sideshow won't let me ship it to someone else.  But that's OK, it's too damn cool for me to pass on and I decided to bite the bullet and put in my order.  It'll definitely be a centerpiece in my collection.  8)

Just a heads up.
www.casefresh.com has the medicom vinyl Yoda for $55 aus, for you guys, they would have to take off the %10 GST too so it would only be $49.50aus + would be about $45 US plus shipping
They also have the real action hero Sandtrooper and clone trooper on sale for $120 aus less GST and convert be about $100 plus shipping
Just thought I'd put it out there.
Picked up a sandtrooper, too good a deal to pass up on.
The problem with America is stupidity I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself

My W-sized Vader arrived today - it's frickin' huge!

I was starting to feel guilty about spending the money on this, but after seeing it today, I'm VERY happy with it.  I'll get some pics up soon.

Are those really VCDs? They look WAY more bobble-headed than the current line.

If you look at the labels in front of each figure, you can see the "Vinyl Collectible Dolls" script above the Star Wars logo... ;)

Ok, the Maul and Vader VCD's look great.  I might have to step up to these when they come out...

OK, look at these quick Photoshop comparisons I did. These don't even come close to matching the style of the existing line. I'm not saying they're bad per se, but if I'm going to be collecting a line of figures, I want them to be visually consistent. I'm actually hoping that these are meant to be a different line somehow. The "VCD" name already applies to two different kinds of figures -- the realistic ones like Wicket and Yoda, and the super deformed ones. Maybe this is a third "bobblehead" line or something.

Is it just me or does that Darth Maul look like Elmer Fudd?
This is the way.

It's definitely not just you.  I just came in to pose the same question and yours was already there.

I also just noticed that these are considerably smaller than the existing VCDs -- compare their height to the Kubricks in this picture:

And then the height of the current VCD vader with a kubrick:

This picture seems to show a super deformed VCD Darth Maul that conforms with the current line.
