SEALED vintage items
« on: November 29, 2005, 12:33 AM »
I have been thinking alot about this lately and posted a little in the Vintage vs. Modern thread.  Over the last, it seems, five years I have been seeing less and less sealed vintage items. Yes there is some out there, but not like it used to be.  I remember when I was around 16 or so, Ebay was just getting going, that there was sealed stuff everywhere. In fact I think it actually went lower than opened stuff because everyone wanted to diplay there toys.

I know things dissapear over time, but it just seems fast to me.  I have talked to a few "big" collectors and they some is due to fire or flooding, but most is because the people that grew up at the time now have big money and want to collect things from the past. I guess the whole mid-life crisis thing. These people buy this stuff for there collections, and thats it, they never trade of sell it off. They just accumulate.

Anyways what do you  guys think, is sealed vintage getting alot harder to find or is it just me??
Anyone got a ben for sale??
