Ooooh. Secret Mother. I like the ring of that. However, if I'm getting the gift then that would make me the mother. Yeah, scratch that one. However, there's Father's Day, and I'm already a father, so what's one more kid. One more grown, nondependent kid. Besides, that might give me the chance to say to my gift giver, "Who's your daddy?" just for kicks.

Good point. And then I'll be the first person (hopefully) to get my gift this year AND  the moment won't be lessened by my obligation to give a gift, since I'd already done so in 2005. A win-win!

A bit late in posting a response here but I have received my gift from my SS. Thanks for the figs and for the "other" items. Will have to wait until next winter to give those a try.

I see it 2 ways

-- Didn't really care as much about receiving anything for my self as much as I did at giving;When I tried that(giving) it failed--I've apologized to my recipient for this however I won't risk sending more value his way only to get lost by the PO again.

--I guess if I didn't get anything by now than I wasn't meant to-so to make it easier on my 'giver', I withdraw.

From my own experience my first impression with SS is a failure. I noticed that for most it is a success however, and for them I am happy.

Well guess what showed up at home yesterday? Yup, a package from the North Pole (via SoCal). My Secret Santa came through...and I mean came through big time! My daughters "assisted" in the unwrapping and here's the haul:

So, how's that for a haul? SantaMAC came through way more than was expected...and just in time for Memorial Day!
