Rob,

Congrats on the pickup, I have that very same carded Vader. My own vintage carded piece, definitely a keeper.

Cheers!

I wanted to ask about this.  I didn't feel that I got a really clear response over at RS when I asked, so I'll ask here.  (BTW, referring to a conversation in Watto's, I only visit RS for the vintage and trade sections.)

Anyway, in a link here on page 3 of this thread, I've put up a picture of my most recent Han purchase.  I was a bit nervous about the purchase because the figure had a stormie gun (later determined by me to be a freak occurence).  Once it arrived, I was terrified that I had a faked figure.  So I put it under the light, searching the bubble seal, and then ran a search on TRG.  I came to find out it was a variation I hadn't been aware of, an ROTJ 48A Hoth Han.  John Hamm helped me out as best he could, but I'm still not sure about the figure/cardback variation and rarity.

The ROTJ 48 was obviously the first run on that cardback.  My question, how hard to come by are the figures on that cardback?  Also, is that particular variation HTF?

I don't purcahse vintage figures MOC often, but this one I could not pass up!  Yoda was one of my favorite figures as a kid.   :P

Chris,
I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to the question.  Not wanting to take anything away from here, but over at snowtroopers.ca they've got some good vinty guys paying attention as well, you may want to ask there.  Dale or someone else may answer here, but that forum is getting slightly livelier as well.

ruiner, damn, nice piece. :)

Chris, here's a good thread about those ROTJ 48 backs.
Shawn Gouty completed his run a year ago.  According to him, the hardest to find are:
1) Ben
2) Luke Xwing
3) Han Solo
4) Stormtrooper
5) Chewy.

Hope that helps,
Andy

I've been visiting Montreal on business the last few days and I got a chance to visit Legends Action Figures on St. Hubert. I picked up a really nice loose Imperial Gunner mint w/ weapon and coin. The limbs are nice and tight, there's only a slight paint blemish, and the coin is nice and crisp as if it was just minted. I was even able to haggle the price down a bit.  ;) No pictures now, but I fly home tomorrow :( so I'll have a pic of this guy with the rest of his POTF brethren. 6 more POTF to go, woo hoo!
