Picked these up at the weekend ;D

Hey you could kill a few hours shaking that Rancor Keeper card around trying to get this head-dress back on his head! You really scored 2 toys in 1 on that one!

I just bought a Cloud Car for $20 Canadian. It isn't in perfect shape, but it's okay. The store owner even threw in a Bespin guard (with mustache) as well.

don't all the trilogos come with the headdress off?  anyhow... if you can get that headdress back on, you can try to get the lightsaber in on my tri ben.

For some reason, I'm not ashamed that I can't answer that question.  ;D

I picked up a non mint SW carring case for $4 today. The clasp was missing, but it still had the cardboard inset. Dispite it's non-functioning clasp, these are still the best figure carriers, hands down.

I picked up the original display stand, with a decent cardboard backing, for $15 last night.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this because I'm trying to spend any money because my wife and I are hoping to get a house this summer, but I decided shortly before the auction ended to take a stab at this figure.  I just hope I didn't overpay for it.

I got a loose Nien Nunb made by Ledy.
 ;D

Pretty good shape, although it has no  gun. Doesn't look much worse than my old Kenner Nien Nunb, in any case.

I just scored this Scout Walker the other day. It looks pretty nice and will complement my Hoth playsets nicely.

In my never ending searches of obscure categories I picked up some ESB Ad Slicks. $21 for 17 sheets.

Images are thumbnails - click to open a larger image in new window.

I thought I'd share these first here.  The last image has the footers for the ad.  Those ovals would be cut out and pasted up in the white space under the above ads with the theatre information and showtimes.  I really love stuff like this as I was doing manual pasteup for university newspapers back in '93/'94 back when laser printers were 8.5" x 11". (and 300 DPI to boot)

Those are sweet. And a great price to boot. Good job.

I love that old vintage stuff.

Pretty darn good stuff there Mike, I have seen something like these before in a I guess a press book that advertise what size and shape of posters and whatnot are available to the theaters. I have this book for my Thunderbirds (puppets) and Silent Running sets.

BTW, the last pic is not showing up as shown when I click on it.  :-\

The slicks I have were most likely sent out to newspapers.  When Fox wanted to run an ad, they could specify what size ad to run.  Full page down to miniscule.  They'd be waxed or glued onto the layout boards and then the film would be shot and plates made for the web press.

Thanks for the heads up on the pic, Dale, fixed it!
