Ah much better, nice Mike.  :)

Yep, they sure do look like they were sent to the newspapers, I dug mine out but I couldn't find Silent Running but I did have advertising press kit and mine are for the theaters (posters/daybill). I wonder if they ever had anything like I have for when SW was going to be released? I can't find any in the archive.  :-\

Here's some pic's I took so others can check it out.  :)

Thunderbirds Are Go Pressbook 1966.

Journey to the Far Side of the Sun Advertising Publicity Promotion booklet 1969. This also has on the back page, 2 mail away orders for free commercials and radio spots.

And so it begins....

There are the four pin holes, as indicated plus the damage to the card in the upper right corner and a pretty healthy crack in the bubble.  Still, it's in pretty nice shape and the seller did an excellent job of packing it to protect it.

WOW. $75... I would have jumped all over that if I had seen it first. Nice score.

Yes, thanks Dale for pointing Leia out to me and for pointing this one out as well:  Finally! the right cane!

The figure has lost paint on hands and feet, the cloak is worn through at the back but the damn cane is the right colour.  Fourth time is the charm ;)  Now to try and sell it off without a cane or just parcel out the parts.  But Yoda is now happily complete and in great shape with both a brown and an orange snake and their correct, corresponding canes 8)

Very cool Brent.  I knew of the brown snake variation, but I don't think I knew that the cane was a darker (?) brown as well.

I suppose we could start talking about green snakes now, if we'd like too :P

Yeah, that's a great link.  I guess it would help if I actually read it all  ::)  (Dale sent me that link a while ago too).

But I'm confused - they list 4 snake variants.   ???  I knew about that third green snake, but not a 4th dark brown one.

And 3 cane variants as well.  Regular brown, darker brown, and a lighter brown.  Yowza.

To me, there are just two Yoda snakes: orange and brown.

I guess it depends on how anal you want to get, but different shades of the same color do not constitute a variant for me.
And the green snake still doesn't look green to me.   :P

I know many loose collectors will disagree with me, so flame away.   ;)

Actually I won't.  I remember the discussion from RS from a year or two back.  I've never seen one in person, but the pictures I've seen haven't made me die wanting to get a green snake.

I was actually looking at this snake tonight and thinking y'know, that one's a little paler and in just the right light.... ;)

I'm done on Yoda.  Two colours of snakes, two colours of canes and two body colours for Yoda.  I'm good.

Brent: great pick up on the brown snake Yoda, I would so have nabbed that had I  seen it first. :D

I won't flame ya Andy, but I hope my scan of my own Green Snake Yoda will help give insight to the topic...

I've had this guy for about 5 years now, it's quite green to me. There is no indication of a brown snake fading, a common reason given by proponents of this being really a brown snake. Nor have I seen anything to show that this green is really just a different hue of brown.

I won this auction a few days ago and it arrived today.  All of the figures are minimum C-8.5 and all of the accessories are original, no repros...!  Not bad for $60!!!
Finally finished RotS
