I love that Rebo Band, very nice.  8)

Nice Blue Snaggy, did the weapon come with him?

The wind up R2 looks good, does he walk OK & any sticker on the backside?

The wind up R2 was available in Canada carded & in Japan (Takara) & sold loose in a baggie I believe.

No weapon with BS, but I have a bunch of extras so outfitting him won't be a problem. As for the Takara R2, he still walks, albeit slowly, but unfortunately he is missing the Star Wars/R2 sticker on the back.

I've never been really all that familiar with the R2 as I've seen some photos with and without the blue utility arms on the front. Anyone know if there were 2 versions of this or were the blue arms just stickers as well?

I have always wanted the carded wind-up R2. Mine is sealed in a baggie.

I'd be interested in seeing a pic of that for reference.

Just remember, the BS blaster is a blue translucent.

Blue Snags: Getting to the bottom of it...

As for the the R2, the blue utility arms are a sticker. Here's a pic of mine for the front & backside.

I'd love to have a R2 sealed in a baggie plus a carded one but a little out of my league right now.  :-\

I'll try to dig it out...may take a bit though.

Nice recent additions.

Jayson - Congrats on "completing" your loose vintage collection!

Corran - I really like the Vintage set up where you're showing those new vehicles.  Great stuff!

Thanks Matt and to everyone else for the comments. Putting all of my vintage back together for display really started my engines revving for more vintage fun.

Jayson - great score on the Blue Snags and Takara R2. The Snags looks especially pimp, I've been trying to find a nice one for a long time but I tend to find overpriced junkers mostly. Do you mind my asking where you were able to pick him up?

Cheers!

I picked up both items on eBay (in one auction) from a seller in Canada. $179 shipped.

That's a pretty nice price for those figures considering they're in great condition.

Not really an acquisition so much as just a fun find...

So I had to go to the attic to get TMNT **** out for a guy that wants my old childhood collection, and I was rooting around and found a bag of random stuff.  I found:

-Well of the Souls playset
-Maproom base playset piece
-couple Vintage Indy figures in sad shape

But the kicker for Star Wars!

-Bow and quiver to one of the POTF Ewoks
-Staff to Romba I believe
-Luke Stormtrooper's Stormie helmet!

Kick ass.  I completed some Ewoks I've had chilling for a while, and I also found the original helmet to my Stormie Luke which I replaced, but which now means I have an extra I can sell or something, or get another Luke without one I guess.

Small, but it meant something to me since these were original parts to my original figures...  That makes it cooler I guess.

Very cool.

Romba came with a spear though I believe, not a staff.

Buncha trilogos ended today and commanded some dollars I'd consider surprising.   :o

I have dreams of **** like this all the time you lucky SOB. The last actual experience I had like this though is when I was going through some old vinyl carry cases and upon removal of the trays I found an A-wing Pilot blaster, Jawa blaster and a purple Ugnaught cape allowing me to have a blue and purple variant on display.

I do have a similar story though. About 10 years ago, my family and I went back to an old property we own and used to live in when I was a kid. I remember playing with my figures in a sand box in the yard which now was very over grown with weeds and junk. I decided to dig around in that old sand box and found one of my Leia figures I buried! What's funny is I like this figure more then my display quality version simply because it was my original Bespin Leia figure:

She's faded, worn and looked a hell of a lot better back in the day, but then again so did Carrie Fisher.  :P

I like how you can tell she was ass up.  :)  Passed out face-down in a sandbox...  Again, just like Carrie Fisher.   :-X

On the Raiders playsets, the WotS set is actually fairly complete for the structure.  I just need one more set of the golden arches.  I also need my Ark top which I cannot find.  No snakes, mummy, torches, etc.  Still, though, these are great things to me, to just display with my figures from the modern Indy line.  I would like to make a scale Staff of Ra now to go with the Deluxe Indy, and the WotS set is just gonna get Indy/Sallah put into it with torches and such I believe.

I didn't get much for my TMNT stuff but at least it's on its way outta here too, and the Indy/Star Wars parts were worth the trip up into the hell that is my attic.
