The new Insider magazine has mention of a third Evolution set tentatively titled "Evolution of the Sith."

It includes Maul, Dooku and the Emperor. Maul and Dooku look like kit bashed figures but the Emperor looks to be all new.

You mean like these:  ;)

All 3 of the figures are brand new and they kick ass.   :)

Hot dog!  Where did those come from?

With all the talk about the clone set, I must've missed that - thanks for making me feel like an ass!

I still think that Emperor is kind of funky looking. Hopefully it changes in appearance before its released, or maybe it looks better in person ???

Yeah, those were a welcome sight at C3. Could it be that we'll finally have an almost SA Darth Maul? Give me a bounty hunters evolution pack with a SA Jango Fett and I'll be dancing on the rooftops. I guess they could do something like:

* SA Aurra Sing  ::)
* SA Jango Fett
* SA Zam Wessel(?)

I actually wouldn't mind a good Zam Wessel figure, to be honest.

I recently pre-ordered the Clone Evolution set.

It includes 3 all SA -

1.  AOTC Generic Yellow Clone
2.  ROTS Commander Bly Clone
3.  OTC Sandtrooper

Super sweeeeeet!

Being the fly in the ointment that I am, I just wanted to point out to everyone that, as expected, Amazon/TRU.com has pushed back the release date of the Evolutions Clones again, this time claiming they will be released on June 1st.  They still claim that my order is going to ship tomorrow and that I'll get them later this week, though, so like HTS.com, I don't think the two areas of the site maintenance are communicating so well.   ::)

I just split off all the arguing over who Commander Bly is, or isn't, and made it into it's own thread, and stuck it in the ROTS movie forum section, since none of the (deteriorating) discussion had to do with the Evolutions sets anymore.  So go over there if you want to keep talking (respectfully) about Commander Bly.

Stay here if you want to discuss the Evolutions figures.

Hopefully Michael's right on the TRU.com date there, and they're really due out in just a couple weeks.  Can't wait for these sets.  8)

Thanks Matt. That was kind of turning into some sort of pissing match.

Looks like Mousedroid has some detailed looks at the Evolutions Anakin pack, front, back, figures, etc.  Really looking forward to this assortment showing up in stores.

Yeah, these are looking pretty nice. They're all done on the VOTC level, so These should be worth it.

Yes, these sets are pretty awesome IMO.  I am not sure if I will get the Sith set or not?  But Anakin and the Trooper set is way to nice to pass up.

I'm even more excited now that I see both AOTC and ROTS Anakin figures include interchangeable hands and correct saber hilts. This set really is definitive.

If I could find anything to gripe about, it would be that the AOTC headsculpt is still a tad iffy and I'd have liked a real-hair padawan braid, like the last TPM Obi-Wan had.

I am glad they included a cloth cloak in there too, plus a VOTCish ROTS Vader is an added bonus

I still for the life of me cannot figure out why they made the shoulder piece of ROTS Vader like they did...and if you look through the making of stuff, they did the ANH version first, the molds were made and everything, but they went and changed it when the final costume was made.  It smacks of stupidity
