I've gotten in the habit of really working (carefully) all joints on all figures for a time.  Some of the construction is done so that you have to just sorta wear it out slightly at first...

With other toy lines it's that the finish/paint ap dries and if you try working joints too hard it'll snap the joint off because it's stuck.  That's a problem with the XD line.  SW doesn't have that, but they do have joints that are almost too tightly designed and need loosened up, or "worn out" a little bit to really be playable without breakage.  The Evo sets definitely had a fragile aspect to them though.  I'm cool with that for their quality overall, but yeah these were fragile for "toys".  Which is odd because the SA Clone basics were not that way.

Yeah, I was actually very careful because I had heard about these things breaking. I've learned to press in on the joint rather than bending the limb. It just instantly snapped. Not too big a deal though, fortunately. It was an extra I would've traded, and I got it on sale anyway.

Sorry to hear, but it happened with my Sandtrooper.

Did you return it? ???

I recently got my Yellow Clone evolution set from Wal-Mart.com, and I was very scared about opening it after reading all of these reports of breaking arms. I open it anyway(I'm an opener.) and guess what...        none of the arms broke!!! ;D Boy was I relieved.

I have a sizeable army of these sets and not one broke, so don't worry...  It's less than more tthat it happens, but yeah breaking joints can happen all over the line.

Just care when "loosening" up joints is needed, and you should be fine.

Well Wal-Mart.com sold out of White Clone sets, so I ordered a set off Amazon for $23. It hurts, but at least I'll have one now. :)

Yep, made the same mistake myself, snapped it off right at the elbow.

I just leave them standing there in posed position anyway, so no big deal to me.  I just glued the sucker into place and made sure to twist the elbows around on the rest to loosen the joints up before making the same mistake again.

*Flexes his review muscles*

:)

I loved the Anakin set myself...  It gives you 3 definitive versions of the character and since I don't care about the kid version I'm ok with this for Ani...  I'd dig some EU ones maybe but for the films, this is 99% good enough for me.  Only new film one I want is an outlander disguise one.
