Missing in Action
« on: December 15, 2005, 12:49 PM »
With the Christmas holiday approaching, I just wanted to let those who haven't had the opportunity to chat here a lot lately that we miss you, and hope you are able to find the time soon to rekindle the flame here!

Gregorbian - I can't wait to see your next update and hear how you are doing with law school.

Dimetrodon - Really miss seeing more miniatures from you, and hope you are able to be back here soon and always look forward to hearing your feedback.

Darth Delicious (though he's been able to come by a little lately) - I know you'll be back again soon with a bang, but that can't come too soon.

Coeli - I know you are definitely a busy man, hope you are able to find time to show us some more of your excellent work.  Nobody makes walker type vehicles like you do and your are always willing to share your know-how.

I'm probably missing a few folks, but those are a few that I always enjoy chatting with a lot that have posted less frequently here for a bit.  If anyone wants to add anyone to the list, please do!

I know that life is busy, and this isn't #1 priority in life, but don't forget about us customizing folks here... we'll be here as long as this site is up and running and love see your updates and chat about the work we've done, and new ideas.   It's become in my opinion the best Star Wars customizing community out there.  ;)

As a law school graduate, I'd like to speak for Gregorbian and note that during finals in law school one cannot get distracted with anything... you know, customizing figures, eating three meals a day, interacting with other human beings... :)

As such, don't expect to hear much out of him for a few weeks toward the end of each semester. Unfortunately law school really is that hard.

Gregorbian was here a week ago...
He took time to comment on my last posted figures...

Thanks Grego

Its funny how fast time flies.  You think..." i'll finish it next week"  Next thing you know, its been 3 weeks, and that's almost a month.... Then life actually demands some time and you can easily go a month without posting anything... Unless your chewie :P

I think Chewie makes figures as part of his daily routine...  Wake up, brush teeth, make custom, leave for the day...get home, eat dinner, make custom, brush teeth, post customs and sleep.
I still say he's part machine... theres gotta be a T2000 skeleton under there. ;D

Ha Ha... I do totally understand that people have a life outside of this - I do too, believe it or not!   :)

I have some free time though most evenings after work; I don't have any kids and my wife works 2-3 nights a week, so I like to watch a ball game, history channel or whatever, and customize during that time.

Finals BLOW. >:(

I haven't done any customizing in over a month.  :'( I drove the hour drive home over Thanksgiving and took my customizing stuff with me so that I could do so custom work, then I didn't want to haul it all back up, only to have to take it back home 3 weeks later. That was such a mistake, I have had quite a few ideas lately and can't carry them out.

I have hardly any time and I can never seem to comment on all of your stuff, if I miss any of your updates I'm sorry, I try to post in as many threads as I can, but there never seems to be enough time. I feel bad for posting in some threads and not others, but then if I just don't post at all I will be really behind when I get to posting in all of these threads. I'm done with finals tomorrow after a crappy 7am test. And hopefully soon I can go back and start posting on all of the stuff I've missed. My brain ios already fried after this week, as is probably apparent by my crappy spelling/grammar.
"This is the way."

Ryan, that's ok man.  I remember how hellish finals weeks always were, and a lot of college in general.  I really didn't have time for anything, and especially not customizing unless I went  home for a weekend - but even then, I was usually doing something with my local buddies or chasing women around town.

Thanks for thinking of me CHEWIE!  ;D
That was the busiest that I have ever been, but that's one semester down, 5 more to go!  I learned that it's all about time management, and I also learned that I suck at time management  ;)  Oh well, hopefully I'll manage my time better and won't get so backed up with commenting on all of the excellent customs here.
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

Guess he's been busy with Christmas and the last couple weeks have been busy for him.  Hopefully he's alright and will rejoin the madness soon.   :)

Yeah, most of us have been busy lately. I'm leaving for SC tomorrow, and I'm dreading it. I won't be able to do anything with my SW stuff for 5+ days because we're flying down and we have limited space. I'm looking forward to him coming back.

Hi Guys

1st of all I hope everyone had a great xmas and hope you all got what you wanted.

Also sorry I haven't been around alot lately I've been doing some Marvel super hero's for 2 other forums I will post them on my section today and I've also had a few commission works to do for people for xmas.

After today's post I won't be doing any postings for a little while as my computer decided to pack it in and it's goping to cost me $300 to get new parts.

I've been lucky enough to use one of the works computers so I'm going to go thru everyone's post and reply to them over the next 3 days while everybody is still on leave that way I can catch up.

I've been doing a few figures and 2 dio's so once the computer is back up and running I'll post them and again sorry that I haven't been around I've missed the friendly chats.

Ron

What happen to Findswoman? You would think the Tonnika sisters group project would be right up her alley.

Well, I'm back on a regular basis now. I had a lot of personal issues come up all at once (nothing serious, just time consuming) plus my day job, and my freelance gig as well with three of the titles I write getting pushed up a month and needing to be done before the holidays. Add that to all the holiday prep, and I had ZERO time of energy to surf the net.

The good news is I'm almost done setting up my new garage workshop, so I should be back in the casting/customs business in force throughout the coming year.

Oh, and whoever was looking for Halo 2 Banshees, Toyrocket (a sponsor on this site) has them fairly cheap last time I checked.

Looking forward to seeing all the great stuff I missed over the last month!

She has been swept off her feet by Lance's photonovels.  And don't forget to catch up on everyone Phruby when you have time.   ;)
