That's incredibly awesome!  It sucks that I'm broke, because I would definitely pick one of those up right away.  Who am I kidding?  I would be buying TONS of Star Wars items if I had some money (and a job).

I will most likely save my pennies for something else.  However, I agree that it does look very nice so far.  What other ships are they going to have?  A TIE Bomber?

No idea Brian.  This is the first and only ship that they've announced so far.  But more are definitely on the way according to their site.  I'm sure they'll just keep pumping out ship after ship, like most of the other SW licensees do.  A Tie Bomber would be a fine choice, and a likely one - but would probably happen a bit later on into the line when a few of the more popular vehicles have been done first.

If I had to guess, I'd say that the X-Wing would be next, followed by maybe the AT-AT and a Tie Fighter (possibly Vader's)...  I'm sure if sales continue to go well, as I expect they will, this line will do quite well and produce most if not all of our favorite Star Wars ships.  I'd also fashion a guess that most of them will be a little cheaper than the Falcon here, since there won't be so much interior detailing involved...

Will they do them to scale with the Falcon?  If so, that would have to reduce the price significantly just on size.  Perhaps not for the AT-AT but for the Tie and X-wing.  And for that reason, I can't see them making them any smaller.  Pity, I like scale.

I think I remember that there was a survey on what you would like to see in the Star Wars line on the site. Not sure but it may have been just after you pre-ordered the Falcon.
Anyone else remember this survey?

So, how big is this Falcon?  I want a lot of metal for $295!

8 Movable Parts
Interior Panel Detail Shown!
Code 3 Collectibles brings the details of this legendary ship to life with a die-cast replica that's over 1 foot in length. Over 400 pieces were used to construct this model and over 500 people were involved in the production process. The Falcon will have 8 movable parts:

Removable landing gear.
Removable left mandible panel that exposes landing jets, passive sensor antenna, anti- concussion field generator, deflector shield generator and deflector shield protector.
Removable circuitry bay panel to expose the circuitry bay detail.
Removable left side heat exhaust panel to expose sublight engines, hyperdrive, fuel driver and the escape pod.
Removable upper quad laser cannon panel to reveal power core detail, control seat and rotating quad laser cannons.
Removable cockpit cover to expose interior detail of the cockpit.
Opening and closing boarding ramp.
Moving main sensor rectenna that rotates 360 degrees.

Dimensions: 13" front to back and 9 1/2 " from side to side. (All detail features were scaled from the fact that the Millennium Falcon measures 26.7 meters long.)

In other words, no way will future releases be in scale to the Falcon as they would be too small, relatively speaking. :(

True. I think when they release more ships, they will be just a tad smaller or around the same size. They will probably give the dimensions when they are made.

Next up for Code 3 is the X-Wing!  Information courtesy or Rebelscum's brief interview with Code 3's Executive Vice President Scott Schellhase.

Looks like I'll get to check out the Millenium Falcon in person this weekend in San Diego, and possibly even an early production piece of the new X-Wing as well!   8)  Now if only I had a damned digital camera so I could share the fun with all of you.   >:(   Sorry... :-\

Use a real camera! Develop the film & scan the pics. Thats if you have a scanner? If you don't have a scanner, you can have the pictures put on a floppy/CD & post them. We can do that up here. Just a thought.  :-*

An X-Wing will be awsome. Looks like were in for a continuing series of these ships.  8)

Matt, you can still use a regular camera to take the pictures, and when you go to get your film processed as for it to be burned onto a CD-ROM disc.  That should be a feature at any film-processing place.

Ditto!   I think I just said that.  :-*
