No problem Ennis, I don't keep secrets.   ;)

Here is how I made it.  I may work on the hair some more though.

head - Sahara figure
torso - OTC Dagobah Luke
arms - OTC Dagobah Luke
hands - ROTS Ki Adi Mundi
tunic drape - ROTS Agen Kolar
legs - Evolutions Dooku

Then I used black thread and some lace material for the hair and the straps on his bicep and wrists.

That Quinlan is unbelievable! I think you did a great job, Chewie. One of the best I've ever seen. The parts choices are inspired. Most people do the Jedi version of Vos, I like that you did the rogue version.

The skin color is fine, I think. It's a little off, but remember, this is Dark Side Quinlan.   ;D

Can't WAIT to see him in action.

I didn't notice the updated picture of Vos.  The hair looks great now, it doesn't seem as bulky.  I have to say, I'm really floored by the paint apps on this guy, it's even better than your "normal" (read: excellent) paint apps.
The scariest thing that I've ever seen,
Is the terrible AT-AT walking machine.
It's as big as a house on walking legs,
and whatever it steps on it crushes like eggs.

Great Choice of Parts for Quinlin!

Very nice. This a great representation of this character.

The Paint Aps are Dark and Grity>Perfect for Vos, The Skin Tone is perfect, I use the same Walmart Paints and have a hard time mixing up a good batch of skin tone. What Colors did you mix to get it?

The Way you attached the Kiadi Hands to the Luke Arms is seemless.

The Hair> Very effective, You could use this technique to make a great Bob Marley Custom.

Keep um Commin!

Fritz - on the paint, I just mixed some tan paint with black, and watered it down a bit.

Thanks guys - actually I have redone the Quinlan figure.  Last night I decided just to go for it as I wasn't happy with the hair.  Please let me know what you think.  I realize this isn't as good as what Hasbro could do... and I am really frustrated with the hair.  I think now he looks too much like a damn cave man. I might have to rework it a bit more.  The only part that is really bugging me now is the damn space above his right eye.

Chewie, in the version his hair seems to "wide" just above his temples.  I like the previous version a little better I think

Thanks for the feedback.  I appreciate that kind of criticism.

I agree with you 100%, I was afraid his damn temples looked too exposed. I have plan to fix it tonight.

Baragon, I understand about the tatoos.  It just seemed to be what I wanted to go with because in the comics from what I've seen they are outlined, and with all the comments about his skin tone I thought I should do something to distinguish has tatoos.  On the arms, what arms would you have used?  I thought about the Anakin arms from that sleeveless figure, but I'm not going to go spend another $25.00 for a set of those for this custom.  It's gotten expensive enough as it is, and since I wanted to paint the skin a different tone, the SA joints would have probably chipped.  Not something I want to deal with really.  Anything you like about the figure?

I did just work on it some more though, and I'm finished with it now.  No more changes or I'll vomit.   If I mess with his hair anymore, I'm going to pull my own damn hair out.

I went to an antique store and bought a figure just for more braids.  $10.00 later and a chopped up Eeth Koth and here's what the final result looks like.

And here's a little collage pic showing his dark emotions.

Thanks Kevo, I guess it turned out ok.  Not as good as I'd like, but it should be ok for me.

Here's another custom that I worked on last evening and just got finished.

Outer Rim Pilot

helmet - SAGA Captain Typho
torso - SAGA2 Han Solo
arms - SAGA2 Han Solo
pelvis - SAGA2 Han Solo
legs - POTF2 Commtech Luke Skywalker
gloves - AT-RT driver
holster - OTC Cloud Car pilot

The pieces were a bit more difficult to get together than I thought, but I think it turned out ok.

Chewie,

I must admit, I liked Quinlan's old hair.  Sorry!  The new version seems just a little too "big".  He almost looks like Kit Fisto with a head full of tentacles.

I'm sorry, I know you worked your butt off on this and were frustrated - I hope these criticisms don't add to your frustrations.  I thought the first version was an excellent, excellent custom.  This one is just one "excellent".  :)

And I REALLY like the "Outer Rim Pilot".  Hee hee hee.... ;)
