Microsoft Word is no longer installed after the "upgrade and repairs" and I can't get it to install - the discs say it is not compatable with the PC now, and it says I no longer have 3D hardware.  Plus the USB ports are still being a pain.  Grrrrr...

Chewie, did that version of Word come with the old computer? It's possible that it was signature specific for that old computer's make and model. Basically Microsoft is trying to keep you from installing Word on many different computers.

As for the 3D hardware, did the monkeys that "repaired" your computer install the latest drivers for your video card? You need to figure out the model number of the video card and download and install the latest drivers.
