Getting to a camera is a problem. Sometime soon, I'll either cart my sorry stuff down to my friend Will's house, and take snaps then, or get him to cart his butt up the hill and snap them here. I'd like to finish a couple more before I throw down some pics. :)

It would be great if Dimetrodon would ship my sodding box of droids to I could do some diorama shots of my customs too, but nooooo.

I think I have an R-Unit coming from him that I'd like to customize. But thats another time and place.

Dimetrodon's a great guy... from way back in the day at the old nomadjedi and yakface forums...  :)

It's funny how a few of us have continued to stick together in the forums.  Hopefully this site will always be around.   :)

Jurassic Park Horizon Raptor Custom

And the description:

Horizon Jurassic Park Velociraptor kit that has been modified into a Jurassic Park 3 Velociraptor. In JP one the raptor had a rectangular snout that didn’t really match what paleontologist were saying was correct. In JP 3 the velociraptor’s look was improved to include feathers on the head and a bony bridge on the nose. Frankly I hated the movie but loved the new velociraptor. So I decided to do my modifications.

Here the mods:

The hind leg was extended downward for more balance.
A bridge over the eyes was extended into the snout were a second bridge was sculpted in.
Real Feathers were painted and added to the top of the raptors head similar to what was seen in the movie.
Finally a Site B base was created to give the raptor an environment for you to display him/her!
Finally model was painted based on the paint scheme scene in the “hero”velociraptor.

The base: when I built the base I envision the raptor entering a crumbling room in one of the abandon facilities on “Site B” and as you can seen from the photos small tuffs of grass has begun growing in the cracks, the walls are crumbling all that indicates that this was once a lab is the Site B stenciled onto the wall.

The base was built out open cell foam and covered in putty that hardens into a surface that is as hard as stone.

I guess my buddy found that on ebay. It blew me away! Awsome custom to say the least. It makes me regret ever getting one of those Horizon raptors.

Well, take a spin over to JPToys.com and register on their forum and check out the customs section. Tons of dinosaurs.

Also, alot of different outdoor dioramas.

Ok boys and girls I need your help. I lost my issue number 54 of republic, and I need a scan of the clones in security uniforms from this issue.

Any help will be nice. :)

The greatest Jurassic Park Diostory ever told!-Chaos Theory!

This is by far my all time favorite Diorama Story ever told, by my friend Tommy Davidson. He's since retired from the Diorama scene, but I figured I'd pass on a different type of diorama story. It ranks as my all time favorite, and I think its just breathtaking. Make sure you have your speakers on cause the music plus the story RULES.

I saw this a few months ago and was positively blown away by the scope and scale and skill of this beauty.

But, a few chapters seemed to be missing.  I remember gaps in the story or something.

Still, a really terrific piece of work.  It boggles the mind how much effort was put into this.  But beyond just the action figure posing and picture taking and manipulation, the actual writing itself is really great, too.

My only minor gripe:  the cast seems a little too big.  It seems like he was determined to bring back EVERY character who had ever been in a JP film before.

But that's a small quibble.  All in all, a truly Herculean effort.

The pic is a bit blurry, but I can already tell that is a great custom figure.  Awesome use of parts!!  What gun is that?
