I watched this last night :o  Awesome. A must have for any music fan.

I'm itching to get it, but my center channel is in with a blown tweeter so I can't do it justice right now :-\  I'm really hoping it's fixed by Saturday night so I could pick this up and crank it before my wife and daughter get home.

Actually Syd passed away the previous Friday.  They released info on his death on Tuesday.  So not much of a coincidence.  It is unbelievable that news of his death did not leak.

In a bit of a twist, I bought this tonight instead of Pulse:

I'll pick up Pulse in a week or two.  The center channel speaker was sent back to the manufacturer (Boston Acoustics), so it will be a while before I have it.

Funny.  Watched it tonight and as best I can recall, it's only the third time I've ever seen the movie.  Saw it the first time in the theater on initial release, then rented it about 8 years ago on VHS.  Now again on the DVD.

Fascinating movie, to say the least.

Picked up V for Vendetta on Wednesday. I've been waiting for this one for a while.

All I've bought in the last 3 weeks is Dave Chappelle's lost episodes and Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 3.

It's been nice to have a break.

Next week is Brick, Hellraiser 3, and maybe Tromeo and Juliette depending on what the set looks like.

and Curb Your Enthusiasm Season 3.

Is that the season with the chef who has Tourrett's?   Best.  Episode.  Ever.
This sticker is dangerous and inconvenient, but I do love Fig Newtons.

Huh, anyone mind if I plug a company?  My center channel was blown as mentioned back in July.  I took it back to the retailer I bought it from, back in 2000.  They sent it back to the manufacturer.  They sent me a new one because the problem that developed was one they'd never come across.  I'm still not sure what it means, but neither the retailer nor the manufacturer, Boston Acoustics, charged me a penny to replace a six year old speaker :o

That, indeed, is a ringing endorsement.

I think I'll get "Hellraiser 3", but the AVS forums coordinated purchase day is just 4 days away, and I was going to order up about 4 HD-DVDs. Thankfully, Amazon has a deal where when you buy 3 or more, you get 10% at the time, and for APPROXIMATELY one year from that day on all HD-DVD purchases. I'm pretty much tapped after buying my new HDTV, though.

I know this is an ooold subject here - but did anyone ever send in for the different box for the Simpsons Season 6 set (the one that came with the Homer head)?  With the next release tomorrow, it reminded me of how that set looks out of place on our shelves, and I wouldn't mind sending in for the "matching" box.  Just curious if anyone else did this, and how it worked out.

I did a few weeks back when BestBuy had all the sets for $19.99.  Still haven't received my new case yet though.

Oh, you poor fella - now I know why Chapelle left the show.  Those "lost" episodes should have remained that way.
