Funny you mention that. I got 1,2, and 3 for $30 on Monday($15/$15). As of right now, Best Buy is running a BOGO sale on select TV sets, including Seinfeld.

However, wait until Sunday, because they'll be on sale for $34.99 a pop.  $34.99, plus BOGO, makes 2 sets $17.49.

Are you sure the BOGO sales will still be valid this Sunday?

Usually their sales expire after a week...

As I understood it, new release sales go from Tuesday to Tuesday - all other sales go from Sunday to Sunday.

I could be wrong on that though.

I agree on the Sunday to Sunday sales, but new releases are only Tuesday to Sunday (actually Saturday night).  For instance, Wedding Crashers is on sale at BB for $14.99 this week, but come Sunday the 8th it will be $19.99.
Common sense isn't so common

Positive. Select Television on DVD Sets BOGO Through 2/11/06

I got Seinfeld Season 4 for Free today at GameStop, so I'll get 5 and 6 this Sunday, and have spent $65 on all 5 sets.

For anyone that cares,

Subspecies Box Set is on sale starting tomorrow, available only at the website, and  limited to 500 copies for U.S. distribution. These are actually coming out in Austrailia, but they are putting 500 on sale for the U.S.

These are some really classic Vampire/Horror flicks, and this is the first time that a "real" copy will be available in the U.S.  It will be nice to retire my bootlegs.

I can't wait.

4 was available, not too sure on the rest, though. Full Moon also stumbled upon a few of their old Puppet Master Boxed Sets and sold them on their website for $100 a pop which was a bargain. I got one a while back for $35, but sold it for $250.

Yes, you're right, Subspecies 4 was available, as was Vampire Journals (unofficially Subspeceis 5, I believe) but the others - the "good" ones, if you will - have never been available in the U.S. on DVD.

Thanks for the info!

I'll definitely pick up Season 3 & 4 at Best Buy this Sunday!

I went to Best Buy on Wednesday.  They had signs up that said "Buy One Get one Free on Select Sony Television DVD's."

The sign also said see a sales associate for details.

So I did.

And none of them had ANY idea what the sale was on.

And it wasn't in the ad.

I had to go so I couldn't wait longer than the 10 minutes that I had for an answer so I left.

That's actually been the case in a lot of stores so I've read. But, what I've heard/seen is confirmed a few times over, and Sunday's sale looks to be the time to buy. That link above specifies which sets, including Married With Children, Seinfeld, Good Times, The Outer Limits, etc.

Naturally, no CSI or 24, although all I need is 24 Season 4. Wal Mart has tons of TV on DVD for $19.99 (or whatever wacky price, $19.72) anyway.

Yeah, it's odd that the sale is not mentioned in the ad....

Rob - you could use CA's link and select the "in-store pickup" option.

I might try that.

Well to my dismay the only flick I picked up this week was the Wedding Crashers.  Everyone my wife and I talked to said is was so funny.  If you havent bought it yet......dont.  The movie sucked and was the biggest letdown for a comedy I have seen in years.
