Is the reissue diecast?

His feet are diecast as was the original....that's about it unfortunatly..Still a fantastic toy though compared to that crappy titanium thingy.

I found a code for HTS, and I'm told it can be used even with the sale going on right now:

RCAT10

I haven't tried it yet, but for those little Rodimus and Thundercracker Titaniums, I might.

More Robot Heroes.

Prime and Ravage seems like an awfully odd combination. But I like it.  :)

Rodimus and Sharpnel look fantastic....from what I can see.

I'm so unfortunately in on this line.   :-\

I picked up a diecast Sound wave as well the other day and am pretty unimpressed with him.   :-\

I assume you mean the Titanium version as they both have diecast.  If that's the case, then I can see why....

Is the G1 Reissue pretty much identical to the original Soundwave from the 80's?  I have an original, so I'm not sure I want to fork over $30 for this new one, assuming I could even track it down... :P

It's not really identical. It shares the same basic shape, but the tape deck door is double wide, and the Play/rewind/eject buttons are different from the regular Soundwave. The door is also clear instead of a smoky black like on the original.

But it's great otherwise. The reason I bought it was for Laserbeak and Ravage, which aren't cheap on the secondary market.

Good point...I had all the tapes when I was a kid including the later combiner type sets.  Had I known I could have bought a house if I still had them just blows my mind.   ;)  j/k  RATBACK was always my fav though and it pisses me off that they included his pic umongst other tapes on the back of the box.

I so wish Takara would release two boxed sets - one of all the autobot tapes and the other of the decepticons.  That'd be ******* sweet!!

Sweet - I might need to get my hands on this if anyone comes across one...

I came across a couple of the reissue Soundwaves yesterday and I was appauled. While the packaging and idea were nice I thought the figure looked like crap in tape player mode. The tape door on the chest was hideous. I'm glad I didn't pre-order one when I had the chance. The only highlight for me was Ravage and Laserbeak but I didn't feel like bothering...

I haven't seen or purchased the reissue Soundwave.  I'm going to pass and use the $29.99 plus tax on another original version instead.
