So, to get back to topic- does it come with a helmet?

Hopefully, we'll know in about 20 minutes.  My guess is it won't include the helmet, but I'd like to be wrong - it would be a great accessory.

Exactly.  Let's keep this on topic guys.

Sorry, JesseVader. I don't take anything personally on here, it's all in good fun...but sometimes I just can't resist the little devil on my shoulder that spurs me on to stir the pot.  ;D

For the record, while I'm not excited about this bust at all, if it came with a helmet that WOULD make it more appealing. Still, with such a limited run I think EE will probably do okay even without the helmet.

It's now up for preorder, but there's no mention of the helmet being included, just the lightsaber being removable.

"An Entertainment Earth Exclusive! Gentle Giant Star Wars Exclusive Darth Vader Anakin Reveal Mini Bust. Limited to 5 per person.
Standing nearly 6-inches tall, this replica is an authentic recreation of Darth Vader and his scarred, battered face as seen in Revenge of the Sith. Based on on-set 3D scanning and the talents of Gentle Giant Studio's artisans, you can see, for the first time ever, this collectible recreation of the scarred remains of Anakin Skywalker inside the suit of Darth Vader. Limited edition of only 5,000 pieces, this item is exclusive to Entertainment Earth and packaged in an attractive 4-color window package.

As an added bonus, the blade of the lightsaber is removable, so it's up to you if you want to display him with his lightsaber ignited, or turned off so you can get a better view at the scarred remains of Anakin Skywalker!

Wholesale pricing through EE Distribution is not available."

I don't know why, but I just don't like this one.  Maybe it's because the head doesn't fit the pose, but this is one of the few Vader items I am not in a rush to get, if at all.  I would really like to see one in person, hopefully it won't be so damn shiny looking.

Hate it ::)

I don't know why but somehow he looks like a burned skin-flute peeking out of the top of the armor suit. Even Lamer if no helmet furnished.

My significant other would never let me display that 'pink tip'
weiner-head guy in my house anywhere so there's no reason to buy since I can't display it. No, definately a non-purchase for me ::)

I'm a little torn on it.  I don't disagree that without the helmet it's fairly questionable in approach, not at all realistic, more EU-ish.  But I do like the limited pieces moreso than I like an edition size of 20,000.  That might be the wrong reason to buy it, but at least if I get it, decide I don't like it, it'll be easier to reclaim my cash outlay than a regular Vader bust (though I could pick one of those up for half the cash).

When looking a the pic the head looks a little out of proportion with the body. With that said, I preordered one anyway  ::). I'm hoping that after seeing it in person it'll look a lot better. Plus I love GG busts! ;D

I guess I think of Darth Vader as the mask and helmet and much as anything else. It is a little gruesome to have out with a couple of young girls in the house, so I will pass.
I think they made a good estimate with the edition size; not so little that people don't get a shot at it on the primary market, and not so large that it detracts from the collectibility.

That's a very good point.  I think for that very reason I won't be ordering this bust.

yes this piece is a little gruesome, but since I have all the other Darth Vader busts I had to order one.

I will just keep it up and out of sight so my son can't see it till he is older/taller.
I have been told to go to hell; well at least I will know everyone there!
