Imperial Genral (Desert WarfareDivision)
« Reply #30 on: November 17, 2005, 10:16 PM »
I had this Gen. Patton head laying around that was just beggin for an Imp. Officer Body to be attached to. So here he is Genral Patton,Officer of the 1st Galactic Empire.

I know it's not a very skillfull custom, just a head swap and a paint job, but you have to admit Genral Patton would have made a Great Imperial Officer.
LMK what you think.

Hi Ya Fritz

Can't diagree with you there about Patton he does look very manacing as an Imp officer and mate the head swap looks great.
And it's usually the easiest customs that turn out way better then the hardest ones we do and you've just proven that well done mate.

I guess in the star wars universe, just like in the star trek one, they still hasn't found a cure for male pattern baldness. It's good to see an older imperial. I think Patten's head would work well on any military officer.

Very well done.  I think maybe the helmer should match the color of his uniform a bit better.

Also, I really like that headsculpt.  I've looked at this figure by 21st century many, many times in the past wondering if I should order it or not.  What I had originally wanted to do, was use that head for a Darth Plageuis concept figure.

Somebody had to build it. And I am pretty sure they were'nt Stormtroopers
This custom is part EU part Fan-Fic. These guys were made infamous in the Kevin Smith Classic "CLERKS".

This poor guy was on lunch break after pulling a double overtime shift finishing some final adjustments to the second Death Star's Super Laser, when Terrorist Rebels blew he and several thousand of his coworkers into oblivian.
LMK what you think.

An independant contractor as mentioned in Clerks!

Great custom.  Really a unique idea that I don't think anyone else around here has tried.  You're great at coming up with original ideas, and your execution is very well done.

Another CORPS body?  The helmet really fits on that well.  His blue color scheme at first looked a bit weird to me, but the more I see it, the more I like it.

That's definitely a unique design!  Really a surprising helmet, but it still fits in.  Reminds me of something out THX-1138 movie.

Great concept for a "bridge the gap" figure. Good use of small amounts of white to pick up the details of the helmet.

Parts selection is excellent, and clearly required some vision on your part. Well done!

I was thinking... the white section on the face/nose area... how would that look if it was painted black?

It'd probably look pretty cool, but I think given the concept that this is some kind of "test pilot" gives room for more of an experimental look.

I'd even be comfortable with more markings on the white area... orange or bright blue caution stripes or a simple imperial numeral to designate which pilot we're dealing with.

If you made it all black, he'd probably come across as a battle-ready soldier (and a good one, BTW).

I love that!  Test Pilot is super cool concept too.  It would look mysterious in all black as it would be hard to see the details.  Sort of like that guy with the neat black helmet that Boush knocks down upon entering Jabba's lair.
