Saw these at Walmart in Baldwin Park.  They were all there except the clones.

I find it funny that Hasbro said these will be for the army builders, but who the hell is going to army build Battle Droids and Utupaun (sp?) Warriors.

Saw these last night at a local Walmart. I have to say that they fulfilled my expectations as being a pile of crap! Paint job on the clones was horrid (and you thought the lines were bad on the Tactical Ops Trooper!), and the Obi Wan looked like a poorly done, cheap imitation.  I know that some collectors will love these, just like some collectors in LOTR dropped the ToyBiz line for the AOME when they came out, yet in the end, I predict that this line will suffer the same fate as AOME.  Their will not be enough support to make the line profitable. I might be wrong because there are always those (IMO, no offense intended here) that will buy anything that has a Star Wars label on it. Time will tell, but these were the easiest thing to pass on.

Well, I found these today and I must say they look worse in person that they do on the net.

If they were $5 a set vs. $10, I might bite.

I honestly don't see a future with these things....

Went to two different Wal-mart's on Saturday, and I saw these battle packs at one of them.  They only had a few, and several of those were already bashed to heck.

I bought the battle droids set. The others they had were clone troopers and Utapauan Warriors.  If they go on clearance, I might pick 'em up. The only other ones I'm interested in are from the second trilogy with Han, Leia and the gang; those I'd pay full price for.

I've seen them, and now I feel quite justified in saying that these are pieces of crap.   Shame on you Hasbro.

I also saw these today at a local Wal-Mart and I passed without hesitation.  More power to those that want to buy these, but I feel no guilt in passing on these.

I would also add that it is really lame that they introduced packaging variants ON PURPOSE knowing that it will help them sell more of these to packaging collectors...  ::)

Hasbro updates today with a Battle Of Hoth themed wave of 2" Unleashed Battle Packs. That Snowtrooper pack looks nice, but I'll pass.

Yeah, those pics make these look pretty good.  But based on the paint jobs that actually show up at retail (from what others have said here), I won't be rushing out to get those.

Phew.  One less item to spend money on.

I've seen the first of these Battle Packs at Wal-Mart for awhile now, and ironically, they seem to be about the only Star Wars product that is just sitting there.  I don't think any have been bought yet, and they've been there for a couple of weeks now (clones and Utapau warriors mainly).  I have no interest in them.  Seeing the pics of this Hoth wave though, I'll admit I'm slightly tempted.  I can probably say now that I'll get the Han/Chewie/Tauntaun pack, and we'll see about the others.  If I'd buy any "theme" it would be the Battle of Hoth, might be a neat little setup.  We'll see when they start popping up at retail.
