San Diego Comic Con 2014
« on: September 30, 2013, 09:01 PM »
So how many of you kept you badge from SDCC 2013 so you could preregister for next year? It seems it has a "secret" code on it that you will need to pre-register otherwise you CAN NOT register. Also registration will be between Nov 1st and Dec 31st but we are not going to tell you until the last minute.

Why do they play games with us? How hard is it to send an email with an attached PDF to mail back?

Don't you love how these monkeys keep pushing off the date of pre-registration? It was suppose to be back between Nov 1st and Dec 31st, now its sometime in the next "few" months. I can just see them sending an email says, "Register NOW!!! with 10 minutes before their deadline. Most of them will go to some spam filter. I guess that is a way to cut the crowds.

I've been thinking. Do I really need to attend Comic Con this year? I know if I don't go, it becomes impossible to get tickets again next year. My 7 year old really enjoys taking pictures with the cosplay people and he likes the Lego and Hasbro booths. We could care less about the presentations but the seller booths are kind of fun to poke thru. On the other hand, it crowed and parking is a nightmare. It's also impossible to get exclusives since Hasbro likes to give away tickets at 2 in the morning on preview night so there is no way to actually get anything.

What do you think? Maybe I should just stick with WonderCon?

Depending on how much you're into wasting money, you could always just buy the tickets and at least you're in line for next year just in case you want to go next year and not this year...  You eat a ticket cost, but you at least get to try to do it again another year if you miss it.

Anyone going that wouldn't mind trying to pick up for the me the Lego Exclusive Guardians of the Galaxy or the Mini-Ghost w/Chopper sets that were just announced?

I would be willing to throw in polybag "Good Morning Bilbo Baggins" or "Darth Revan" in addition to the cost of the item and extra $$$ for the effort.

Just got an e-mail saying that only those going to Con this year are eligible to preregister for 2015.
