The Matrix Reloaded
« on: May 13, 2003, 05:20 PM »
Me and my girlfriend are really hyped up to go see this flick this weekend.  I really can't wait to see what happens to Neo and crew.

The first movie really blew my mind (and Episode 1 out of the water) and the next one will for sure top it

Who's going?  What do you think?

I'm definitely going to see this Thursday night.  But, if my wife is working late then we'll go Friday night to see it.  We're the perfect team when it comes to going to see movies.

Gotta wait till next week.  Just too busy this weekend to see it.  I also have the luxury of an IMAX theater right near me for when that rolls around.  Attack Of The Clones was awesome in IMAX.  I can only imagine what this will be like!

I'm worried that I might have a little bit too high expectations and all of the wow factors and coolness of the originals may be old school now

I'll see it but probably not for a while

My local IMAX theater doesn't have a date for the release of The Matrix Reloaded yet.  Anyone else run across this?

I did not really care for the first Matrix movie but I will end up seeing this one with some friends. I like the S-FX.

I just saw Matrix Reloaded...

and all I can say is "huh?"

I'll try not to spoil any of it for people that haven't seen it but I thought it was highly unfullfilling.  The action sequences are pretty good but the scenes where they use computer animated actors really detracts from the outstanding job they did with the first movie.  The CG actors looked very "gummy" and I felt like I was watching a cartoon.  The writing is pretty bad in this one so be ready for several 10 minute long speeches that pretty much lead nowhere.  A lot of the talk seems very confusing and doesn't really lead you anywhere.  Oh yeah, and be ready for a psuedo-music video that is the ultimate in boring.  If you need a good action fix then catch this movie, if you want to see a great movie that's got good action, then go see X2...

I should have went drinking and killed more of my liver instead of going to see it...

I saw this last night and loved every single minute.  Like the Star Wars movies I think you kind of sort of have to take this a chapter in a larger story, the action sequences were awesome, I liked the love story and all of the great new characters...taking it as a stand alone thing is a little hard but together with I and III will make for cinematic genius, just wait!
