Yep, the skiff is definitely 100% cardboard, along with 100% repack. Saw it myself today... Came packed with a Naboo BP and Jedi v Sidious BP. Passed on all of them, too.

I saw 2 today. Kinda cheesy set, but it works if you need a crew for your skiff.

I would love to see a skiff with a plank.
The set looks horrid.
Maybe if it had a new SA Luke Jedi, Han(Repack), VOTC Boba, weequay, and maybe even chewie?
Then again its a bp and they never have good articulation, they always keep it to a bare minimum.
Clone Commander Appo.

Yeah, 100% cardboard of the toy. That's weird.

I know that some of us have complained that Hasbro is re-releasing a lot of old figures in the most recent Battle Packs, but I wanted to relay a story from last night.

I was shopping with my two sons yesterday for non-Star Wars related merchandise (I know, for shame) when I saw a 6-7 year old boy walking around with the Carkoon Battle Pack in his hands.  He had the biggest smile on his face as he was looking at all the figures and from the looks of it he couldn't have been happier.

I can't begin to explain how happy I was to not only see a young kid getting into Star Wars (especially an item from the OT), but to see him genuinely happy with what we consider to be re-hashed items we would just assume pass on.

This gives me at least a little hope that when my kids are old enough to play with the toys I'm buying, they will be as happy as the kid I saw last night.  So keep pumping out those Battle Packs Hasbro.  I for one will continue to buy them.

This put a pretty big smile on my face last night and I thought that I would share.   ;D

In case some don't check the variations thread, there's two versions of this pack. One with Han's staff in his right hand, holding it down, the other is with the staff in his left hand above his head.

The Lando also has his "staff" in a different position. ;)

That is an awesome story, and I am continually shocked when I go to the SW section and see a kid or two excited about the stuff.  I mean, I literally thought they couldn't care a bit.  It was almost annoying to see a kid excited about SW, as if I expect them to only like Naruto or some other cheesy Japanese toy line :P

Yeah, that is cool.  I guess that particular set would be exciting to a boy who is into Star Wars.  I mean you get some pivotal characters from that scene - Fett, Han, Luke, a baddie - what else do you need?
