I'll probably end up trading off most of my Rares and VRs for Imp troops/Han/Chewie so you guys might benefit from my boosters as much as I do ;)

Definitely keep me/us posted on that Jeff!  I'm bustin' my hump trying to trade for the rest of my needs right now, but may still have a few thorns in my side later this week...

Hopefully I'll be able to join the trading frenzy here in a day or so. My case is scheduled to arrive on Thursday.

You better hurry your slow ass up Jim!  I'm wheelin' and dealin' on 8 different boards right now, trying to polish off my set through some serious trading!   ;)

Dave, where the hell did you go dude?  You in or out?  What's the holdup?!

Who, me? I can't afford to get into this full throttle right now, so I'm just kinda coasting in and out. I've only bought the 3 boosters and the starter set as of yet, and for the near future I can't see myself dropping $13 per booster on these to pretty much get 1 figure at a time that I really want.

So, I'm in... kinda. Anybody has any extras they wanna sell cheap, you know where to find me :)

I don't remember you telling us what you got in your boosters, D.  So, what'd you get?  Same goes for you Jeff!

Still wheelin' and dealin' on my end, so once I'm done, and the dust has settled, I'll let you guys know what I've still got lyin' around.  Maybe it could fill the odd hole or two in your Common/Uncommon sets...

Unfortunately, it looks like with my current trade proposals, I'd still wind up exactly 2 VRs short of complete, which blows, 'cause I don't want to spend anything further on these, since I'm already at $222.47 at this point.  Ouch.  But considering the cheapest complete set on eBay went for $300, I guess I'm not too bad off...   :-\

Still annoyed with myself for not just getting a second case from Outfitters from the start.  Could've saved myself $12, and wound up with an extra 3 Boosters as well!  Stupid dumbass...   ::)

Well, I'm back again.

The two extra boosters I ordered on-line arrived in the mail today (FAST!).  So, with those 2 plus the original booster I bought and my recently  completed trade (thanks, Matt!), I've got the following:

Common figures (16 of 16): :)
  6  Elite Rebel Trooper
  8  Hoth Trooper
17  Rebel Pilot
18  Rebel Trooper
19  Rebel Trooper
20  Wookiee Soldier
35  Snowtrooper
36  Stormtrooper
37  Stormtrooper
38  Stormtrooper
41  Bespin Guard
45  Ewok
51  Jawa
53  Mon Calamari Mercenary
57  Tusken Raider
59  Twi'lek Scoundrel

Uncommon figures (10 of 16):
16  Rebel Officer
23  Elite Snowtrooper
24  Elite Stormtrooper
32  Royal Guard
33  Scout Trooper
39  Stormtrooper Officer
44  Duros Mercenary
47  Gamorrean Guard
49  Ithorian Scout
58  Twi'lek Bodyguard

Rare figures (2 of 16):
  3  Chewbacca - SWEET! ;D
46  4-LOM

Very Rare figures (0 of 12):
31  Probe Droid - had, but traded away

So, I picked up 3 boosters so far and nabbed 2 R and 1 VR.  Not too shabby, especially since one of the rares was one I REALLY wanted!  Plus, I was able to trade away my VR to get a bunch of the C/UC figures I still needed.

AND, I've got a coupon to a local gaming store in Oakdale for BOGO 50% off on Rebel Storm, so I'll likely stop by after work tomorrow and grab two more boosters!  :)

Wtf?!

My frustration subsided and I decided to buy a few single boosters in the hopes of snagging some heavier vr. I can't find any locally. Hell, some of the comic shops I knew of aren't there anymore.  ???

There is not a rare or very rare in each booster box.  The first 2 I bought had only commons and uncommons.

You positive? Maybe you just didn't realize the vr or r you got are in fact vr and r. Were the cards still sealed and did they correspond with the included figures? That'd be a bitch if someone switched the minis and resealed the box.

OKay, so here's what I've got so far, after the starter set and 3 booster packs (and $62.50 down the drain  ::) )

Common figures (16):
  6  Elite Rebel Trooper
  8  Hoth Trooper
17  Rebel Pilot
18  Rebel Trooper x2
19  Rebel Trooper
20  Wookiee Soldier x3  >:(
35  Snowtrooper
36  Stormtrooper
37  Stormtrooper
38  Stormtrooper
41  Bespin Guard
45  Ewok x2
51  Jawa
53  Mon Calamari Mercenary x2
57  Tusken Raider x2
59  Twi'lek Scoundrel

Uncommon figures (16):
  1  Bothan Spy
  5  Elite Hoth Trooper
15  Rebel Commando
16  Rebel Officer
23  Elite Snowtrooper
24  Elite Stormtrooper 1 reg, 1 promo
28  Heavy Stormtrooper
29  Imperial Officer
32  Royal Guard
33  Scout Trooper
39  Stormtrooper Officer
44  Duros Mercenary
47  Gamorrean Guard
49  Ithorian Scout
54  Quarren Assassin
58  Twi'lek Bodyguard x3  >:(

Rare figures (16):
  2  C-3P0
  3  Chewbacca
  7  Han Solo
10  Luke Skywalker, Rebel (exclusive to Starter set)
13  Princess Leia, Senator
14  R2-D2
21  Darth Vader, Dark Jedi (exclusive to Starter set)
26  General Veers
27  Grand Moff Tarkin
30  Mara Jade, Emperor’s Hand
43  Dengar
46  4-LOM
48  IG-88
52  Lando Calrissian
55  Greedo
56  Bossk

Very Rare figures (12):
  4  Commando on Speeder Bike
  9  Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight
11  Obi-Wan Kenobi
12  Princess Leia, Captive
22  Darth Vader, Sith Lord
25  Emperor Palpatine
31  Probe Droid
34  Scout Trooper on Speeder Bike
40  Sandtrooper on Dewback
42  Boba Fett
50  Jabba the Hutt
60  Wampa

Thoughts so far? These are nice. But they are way too expensive. The amount of doubles (and triples  ::) ) that I've already got are making me warry of buying too many boosters going forward. Just doesn't seem worth it. From what I've seen (and spent) so far, these things are costing me about $1.65 per figure ($62.50 / 38 figures).  That's a little pricey for these, if you ask me. Considering that I'm not going to be playing this game, ever... I don't know if I'm going to bother. Well, I shouldn't say that. I'm probably going to pick up a few more, but I might just go after the figures that I want. Of course, the one I want more than any is Boba Fett...  ::)

I'm irked at who's rare and VR...

Army builders as rares and very rares?  WTF?   >:(  It should never be like that.  And Tarkin and Veers?  Veers is the representative  figure of a field officer.

That kinda stuff sucks butt, bigtime.

Well, I just got my case and here is what I got as far as Rares and Very Rares. Haven't sorted thru it yet to see if I got a complete Common and Uncommon set, but I would hope so.

Rare
2 C-3PO
7 Han Solo
26 General Veers
43 Dengar
46 4-LOM
48 IG-88
52 Lando Calrissian
55 Greedo

Very Rare
22 Darth Vader, Sith Lord
40 Sandtrooper on Dewback
50 Jabba the Hutt
60 Wampa

Seems my case was heavy on the Bounter Hunters and the heaviest of the Very Rare pieces. Not complaining, though would have been nice to pull a Fett seeing as I was pulling every other BH.  ::)

Time to start trading away.  8)

Not too bad there Jim.  Though I'm learning from all my trading on the WOTC and Maxminis sites that the "non-heavy" VRs generally go for a bit more than the heavy ones, probably due to the ease of the cherry picking factor.  I've definitely learned that Obi-Wan is the second toughest one to Fett to acquire, so if you get that one, or come across a chance to get one, snag it!

I've only got 2 more to go now, and might be interested in trading some of my left over Rs/VRs for a few commons/uncommons (like Jawa, Gamorrean, Royal Guard...)  I should know soon.

Jim, remind me, have you gotten any other individual boosters yet?  Gonna be tough to trade with a lot of folks without any extra Rs or VRs.  Your commons/uncommons are usually tough to push off on someone, unless they actually PLAY the game and need to build up their armies.  But there are some of them out there, if you look around for them enough.  But they usually won't find you.

Good luck!

Yeah, last week I picked up the starter set and 1 booster and from that booster I pulled a VR, the Scout Trooper on Speederbike. So at least I have 5 of the VRs out of 13 boosters.

You're probably right. Trading will be slim pickings with what I have. Probably have to resort to just outright buying the remaining pieces I need. Probably cheaper than dropping another $10-$13 per booster to get only 1 fig I need out of it. I'll have to see what ebay has to offer as far as prices, unless anyone around here has any they'd like to sell.
