Those sure do look neat, but I think I'll be giving them the pass.  Not a whiff of a hint about them being up here, so don't need yet another headache.  And where would I put them?

If I go, I'll pick up extras.

Anyone got an extra Mon Calamari Merc w/ mint/nearmint card?

"No Adam, you dont want to collect these. Come on, you're not interested"

2 promo figures later, and hunting for a mint card/Mon Calamari Mercenary...

"Ok, maybe the first wave. Just OT figures"

 ::)

I just hope they dont mix prequel and OT stuff, as I'd prefer just to collect OT figs.

I asked exactly that to their rep that was handing the Stormies out at Comic Con, and he said they'd definitely be separate.  There will be some "OT EU" stuff mixed together, it sounds (and looks) like, but the Prequel figures should be completely separate, fortunately.

Thank god. Aside from MRs props, I really just cant stand the PT anymore.

I certainly welcome OT EU stuff though.

Tusken miniatures promo
« Reply #52 on: August 21, 2004, 12:20 PM »
Just got it this past weekend, and I have to say it's the best mini promo to date.

This line looks very promising.  The paint job on this thing is superb.  Jesse and I were checking it out Thurs.  Even the silver "eyes" have a silver paint, black in the center and for as tiny is this piece is...WOW.

The cape has a crisscross burplap looking paint job.  It's relly good stuff.

Hopefully mine will arrive soon. Still working on a Mon Cal Mercenary with mint card, and hopefully someone managed to pick up an extra Wookiee soldier for me at GenCon :)

Yeah, I was really hoping to snag one of these somehow...  Where'd you guys get that one Bob?  Ebay?

Take it you're gonna wind up not going to GenCon, huh Adam?  Bummer...  If you've got any buddies going who might be able to hook you up, could you ask them to try and snaggle me one too please?   :-*

I was really impressed with the paint job on the Mon Cal figure.  Very detailed.  A lot nicer than the Comic Con Stormtrooper...

Bob, I'll probably merge this in with the rest of our WOTC miniatures discussion a little later, if you don't mind...   ;)

Sweet!  Got my hookup through one of the top traders on the boards!  Most happy, I am.  Thanks K!   :-*

Matt, I should have a Tusken coming to me, if you want it. I'm just not going to get wrapped up in these. As much as I want, just not good for right now with all the damn props on the way out lol

I saw something yesterday somewhere that said today's the official street date for the first of the booster packs, or whatever they are.  I still have no real idea how this stuff works...   :P

Remind me where the hell they're gonna sell these?  Gaming stores?  Regular retail?  What?  I'm a little out of the loop still, and need to catch up and get a game plan in order here, real quick!

I have been farting around with putting together a checklist of all the figures that have been shown so far, most/all of which I got to see down at SDCC.  So here's what I've got so far.  Just want to put it into the sequential order or the movies, or something more fun like that...

Figures out now:
Tusken Raider - Comic Shop Promo?
Mon Calamari Mercenary - Origins
Stormtrooper (holding rifle) - SDCC
Wookiee Warrior - Gen Con

Upcoming - in no particular order (released today?):

Large figures:
Dewback w/ Sandtrooper
Probot
Wampa
Jabba the Hutt w/ Salacious Crumb

Figures:
Momaw Nadon (Ithorian)
Princess Leia (ANH, blaster pointed up)
Darth Vader (choking hand position)
Bothan?
Stormtrooper (pointing blaster)
Stormtrooper (pointing cannon)
Stormtrooper (2 other versions, at least)
Tessek (Squidhead)
IG-88
Dengar
Bossk
Boba Fett (with flaming jetpack)
Ewok/Wickett?
Jawa (crouching)
Slave Leia
AT-ST Driver
Emperor's Royal Guard
Grand Moff Tarkin
Mara Jade (shooting)
Mara Jade (standing)?
Luke Skywalker (ANH, pointing blaster)
Han Solo (ANH, pointing blaster)
Hoth Rebel Soldier (standing)
Hoth Rebel Soldier (crouching)
Lando Calrissian (ESB)
Endor Rebel Soldier
Rebel Fleet Trooper (standing )
Rebel Fleet Trooper (slightly crouching)
Rebel Fleet Trooper (kneeling)
Hoth Rebel Commander
Duros Mercenary
R2-D2
C-3PO (waving)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (ANH)
Jedi Luke
Darth Vader Sith Lord (swinging saber)
Rebel X-Wing Pilot (gun pointing)
Emperor Palpatine (with lightning)
Chewbacca
Snowtrooper (two?)
Gamorrean Guard (swinging axe)
Bespin Security Guard
Imperial Officer (running)
Biker Scout (shooting backwards)
Green Twilek female (kicking)
Twilek male (short sleeved)
4-LOM

That's 57 total figures right there that I know of, but they've been advertising the first round as 60 total.  So I'm not sure if that means there's some kind of secret chase figure available in each of the 3 booster sets, or what.

EDIT:  Looks like we need to add in the Leia and Scouttrooper on Speeder Bikes, as well as Greedo.  Looks like a 6th Stormtrooper has replaced the standing Mara Jade as well.  Weird...

So, who's in on this line?  Here the official WOTC link for them.  Need to get a trading network going for these little suckers it sounds like!  Chime in if you're interested!   :-*

You already know that I'm interested in this line, but I'll go ahead and post so the others can get a sense for how many of us will be collecting this line. Hope there is more than 2 of us.  :-\
