I've really gotta army build with the minis here and get off my duff about it...  I bought a while with the RS series then just quit because of cost and disappointment in not being able to get/afford characters like Kyle Katarn that I know I'd want.

Perhaps it's time to start buying lots of commons on ebay or something...

I`m burned out on the minis (for now anyway). The fact that there is no one
here to actually play is a big part of it. I have all of them so far (minus promos and such), so it`s really difficult to give it up completely. Maybe once they are released
it will pump some life back into it for me.

That same idea got me to clean out the basement a year ago and sell off a bunch of old stuff nobody I knew wanted.  Turned the sales into minis purchases and completed the sets.  Felt like free money and didn't care so much about spending too much on one mini as the stuff I sold was just sitting in storage.  The new set looks great overall and should allow the old ones to dip in price a bit as everyone is more excited about getting the latest.  I'm sure I'll end up with extras to trade when I get my three cases.

BOB!!!!

Good to see you here man!  Welcome!

Bob's one of my fellow collectors and gamers from the Central Ohio area.

We have a pretty close group of gaming types (not true gamers), and we try to play on a regular basis.  Next Saturday we are hoping to have an all day game-a-thon at our local Hobby store to kick-off the CotF release!!!

I really REALLY hope that my pre-order of these gets here on Friday... got a DCSWCC picnic on Saturday and would love to have them in to distribute to the folks that went in on the order with me.  But you just can't control UPS!

My case is set to arrive Tomorrow, but I am pretty upset that the contents will be clustered.

Check that out here!

You can essentially buy a pack at your LGS and based upont he Rare you know exactly what else is in the other boosters.

I picked up 9 boosters so far

I pulled some good and Bad. I'm not too big with the Clone commanders.

Commander Gree x2
Commander Cody
Mas Amedda
Exar Kun
Darth Bane
Darth Maul
Snowtrooper with E-Web
Bariss Offee

But in any case all the figures are really nice except the Sandtrooper who's head is a marshmallow. The other figure is the Jedi Guardian for Old Republic.

and of note I guess, I am Pteranodon on WOTC forums

I thought the clustering might be good.... I bought 20 Cases for my local collecting group and was getting 4 of them....   1 guy got 3 cases and got a complete set.   I opened 1 case and it had Malak, Basilla, Jacen and Luke.... I openeded the 2nd case.....  Malak, Basilla, Jacen, Luke....  EXACT same rares...I was like... ok... 2 out of 4 the same.. I can deal.    Opened the 3rd case... Yoda/HK/Jaina/Ulic with at least a diffrent rare set.   I was able to trade a set of 8 rares with one of my buddies and now I have all the rares....  just 4 VR's left to go.   I dump the boosters from case #4 on the table and grab one at random.... Jacen Solo!   I couldn't believe it!   Based on the evidence from everyone elses cases, I was SURE this was another repeat cluster.   I couldn't bring myself to open it right then... 3 of the EXACT same cases?  no freakin way!   So... after Four cases... or .. 1 case cluster and 3 of another, I'm still 4 VR's off... Darth's Vader, Nihilus, Bane and Exar Kun.     I DON'T like this distribution.....

I do still like the distribution method - it is great for out of the box play.  I opened my two cases and got the exact same Rs and VRs in both.  Rather disappointing, but I guess it encourages trading.  Should have the dupes ironed out in the next couple days and have close to a full set with only two cases and some loose boosters.  I don't think they can do it the same for BH since it is a huge set and only 6 boosters per case.  I do like getting every uncommon and three of every common guaranteed per case though.
