JD and Yak
« on: April 15, 2006, 11:20 AM »
I just wanted to say that I think it's very cool to see a banner exchange between JD and Yakface.  Very nice to see that happened, especially considering my two favorite sites.   8)

We figured that since they work just about as hard as we do, it would only make sense.  ;)

I haven't really visited Yakface since I started posting here, but it's nice to see sites getting along. ;D

Really?  I think that Yakface was the first Star Wars site that I ever even heard of... back in 1996 maybe?  Maybe 1997.  Not sure, I was in college at the time and started going there when one of my friends told me about it.

Yak is an old favorite of mine. Its the first place I actually started posting as well. In fact, that's where I started talking SW with CHEWIE. Even though it doesn't have a forum anymore, I still visit Yak daily, because they're the only site that actually lists when Amazon, KB.com, Walmart.com, etc. have SW figures available.

If I had the choice to pick a partner for JD, it would be Yakface.  Great site and the guys there seem to be pretty cool.

Yep, that's where I lost my SW online virginity.   :-*

Met LandotheScoundrel there and Gatillo... Jedirhino too... very few of us from back in the day that I can remember, and that was almost a decade ago!   :o

I'm very happy to now be a staff member there too.

This is just an idea but does it make sense to add a "Forum" link to the Yakface homepage that directs readers to this board?
