Defender Wishlists 2006: Empire Strike Back

For the last couple of years we ran an informal poll with your 10 most wanted characters from the current Star Wars Films.  Continuing the tradition and trying to finish up before Comic Con 2006, I thought it would be a good time to revisit those lists. Here's how it works: You send your Wish List for 10[/i] 3 3/4" Figures to me or post them here, be it new figures, resculpts or even re-releases and I'll tally the votes.  After four weeks of list taking I'll publish the results and we will move on to the next movie.  Fan favorite The Empire Strikes Back is currently on deck.   If you need help coming up with names check out the Official Sites Databank:  Episode V.  Have fun and thanks for sending in your lists (remember to limit it to ten)!

This is probably the easiest out of all the wishlists

Easily the easiest--at least out of the OT, anyway.

Unlike the other two, there's no big "creature scene" to have to choose characters from, and we spend a huge chunk of the movie with just a handful of characters: Luke, Artoo, and Yoda on Dagobah and Bespin Han, Chewie, Hoth Leia, and Threepio on the Falcon.  And a few of the waves over the last couple of years have knocked a bunch of the other characters out, too.

Empire's really getting to be pretty tapped-out as far as figures go, I think.  Just a handful of minor background characters left, along with some much-needed resculpts of the main guys (Bespin Han and Bespin Luke, for example: Kick-ass figures when they came out in 2000 and 2002, respectively--but they're really lacking when compared with what Hasbro's done in the last couple of years.)  And those outfits the main characters wear for five seconds at the end of the flick. . .  Years ago, I thought it was really silly that anyone in their right mind would actually want a Lando Smuggler figure, and now here he is in my Top Ten.

Contrast this with Star Wars and Jedi--I could pick totally different Top Tens for both of those and be equally as happy with them. . .

I agree, Empire has been covered fairly well, but I'm always anxious to see more.  I'd like to see a lot of resculpted/SA main characters mixed in with some remaining background figures.
