Well, the droid would be new, I never found an Evo Palpy, some of the other figs I mentioned would just be nice to see rereleased in numbers like that. I dunno, itd just be cool and probably easy for Hasbro to give us. Itd be great for any Mustafar Duel playsets (which I dont have yet but Im trying to get.)

Maybe if you condensed it a little.. like if it were just the rescue scene.

Evo Palpatine
Crispy Anakin
SA Shock x2
new mining droid

That would probably make more sense in a package.

Maybe not a Battle Pack, but it would make a nice 7-Pack like the exclusive Bounty Hunters, Commandos, or DS Officer sets we've seen...

Lars Family Moisture Farm:
 - Cliegg Lars (AotC)
 - Owen Lars (AotC)
 - Beru Whitesun (AotC)
 - Anakin Skywalker (Evolutions Ep2)
 - Padme (Lars' Homestead version)
 - C-3PO (AotC repaint)
 - R2-D2 (RotS preview droid repaint)

3 new figures (Owen, Beru, Cliegg), 2 repacks (Anakin, Padme), and 2 repaints (3PO, R2).  A nice blend of brand new, kind of new, and old figures.

This is an excellent suggestion for a Pack. Not a battle pack, but a great gift set. Like you said it's a good mix of new, repacks and repaints. That's just the kind of combination that Hasbro looks for.

Has this very question with this specific suggestion ever been asked in teh Hasbro Q&A?

All this time and no one even hinted at including a crispy version of Owen and Beru?  For shame.

They could do a repacked Owen and Beru with new, younger head sculpts using the flashback Beru and Cinema Scene Owen.  Clieg with the hover chair would be all new.  Painful though it would be they could straight pack in Shmi, there must be a ton out there people would willingly send back to them.  They could back in some straight repaint of an R2/R3/R4 droid which wouldn't cost them much at all and we'll all be happy with a new R-series droid of some sort.

With that they'd need a new figure, two new heads with repainted bodies, a repainted droid and a brand new hover chair.

I think the idea plays better as a holiday gift pack ::); We can have Clieg, Shmi, Owen, and Beru each giving C-3PO a piece of covering.

Clieg - POTD Uncle Owen; new head, new paint, resculpted legs(removable), soft goods robe.

Shmi - POTJ (repaint?)

Owen - moisture farmer Luke; new head, new paint

Beru - screen scenes Adi Galia; new head, new paint, longer skirt.

C-3PO - Ep I; resculpted articulated knees

accessories - storage box (Anakin; outland peasant), coverings (Saga C-3PO), Lars garage floor base (new sculpt)
...of the Fifth Southside Tactical Marching Squadron

Well, that could make an excellent ANH BP.

1x Owen and Beru
1x Sandtrooper Orange Pauldron
1x Sandtrooper White Pauldron
1x Sandtrooper Black Pauldron
2x Smouldering Skeletons (Amanaman's accessories)
1x Dewback

Heh heh, but was it really a "Battle." Seems more like a massacre.

Hmm, well then the second could be just a slight change to the current Tusken pack. Just add in AOTC Anakin!

Generic Imperial and Rebel Officer battle packs or Multipacks
« Reply #101 on: May 31, 2007, 01:08 PM »
I know I'd purchase a few sets of battle packs that include generic officers.

For these themes, I'd go with 4-5 figures per set, retail for $20-25.

Here are the sets I'm thinking of:
Imperial Officer set (gray uniforms, like the Death Star briefing room sets)
2 Lieutenants  (two red and two blue pips on the tunic)
2 Commanders  (three red and three blue pips on the tunic)
optional Captain  (four red and four blue pips on the tunic)

They all have the same SA body AND all the heads (differnet sculpts) can be interchanged between them, giving us the option to  promote and demote figures at will. This would greatly increase our Imperial ranks without costing you much in toy development as the bodies are the same. It would be just the heads that are different.

Hoth Rebel Officers
Look at Luke on Hoth, he has three pips in diagonal formation. This denotes he's a commander. So nothing above that.
2 Ensign (1 red pip)
2 Lieutenants (2 red pips in diagonal opposite corners on the badge)
optional Commander (3 pips in diagonal formation)

Again as with the Imperials, make the heads interchangeable. Each should come with their own removable hat as well, giving us even more diversity

Again saving you money by having the same body, yet appeasing us by the vesatility of the set by way of head swap and hat/no hat.

We've really needed some generic Imperial officers in the gray uniform for sometime. Not every figure needs a backstory.

Thanks.

Not every figure needs a backstory.

For example, R5-D4 didn't commit suicide because he was a Rebel enthusiast.

I'll agree with a pack of generic army builders... I'd love it if Hasbro offered plain ol' cardboard boxes with plastic baggies. No flash art, no holographic gummy bears or fake coins... just figures and their accessories at a low price.
