I was definately going to pass, now I want one. I hope they give us a dirtier R2 though. The Luke is nice though, as is the Dragon. All this for $45 is a steal, thanks Hasbro/TRU!

Have to admit that this is looking good. Looks like we're actually getting some bang for our buck.

Since I don't have a good Xwing I have to buy it. I am glad it comes with a decet Luke, but I would have preferred an updated Luke pilot.

I hope that R2 does get dirtier but not as filthy as the OTC one.

I think he met as a pack-in with this.  I actually like the Dagobah Luke with this one.  If I had to whine I'd want the previous accesories added in as well.  Not that I am complaing because I am not. Just saying.  The swamp dragon is a nice touch along with with the muck.  Cool stuff!

Ah, but Luke was wearing the Snowspeeder Flight Suit when he crashed his X-Wing on Dagobah, so the VTSC Luke doesn't quite work...  ;)

I hope this is the R4-G9 re-paint R2 we've been waiting for! ;D

I don't.

I mean, I want one of those, too (and even said so earlier today before we even knew about this thing).  But putting this thing in a $45 rehashed exclusive (and, as nice as it is, it's still just a rehash), while continuing to pump out the inferior VOTC version in the basic line just seems wrong to me.

That swamp dragon better be to scale, or I'm not buying!

I'm surprised nobody's called me out on this yet.

Is that how ridiculous our complaints and wishlists have gotten lately?  That someone can demand something totally outlandish like a "to scale" swamp monster (which would be, oh, about the size of a nightstand), and nobody bats an eye?

No, I can't use it. VTSC is modeled after the Yavin outfit. On Dagobah, he was still wearing Hoth boots. So because of the uneven pant legs, you can't even splice boots on.

For the time being, I'm happy with the VSTC X-Wing Luke... but a Snowspeeder alternate would be awesome... I think a custom could be done, but if I did, I'd want to make a dozen or so Snowspeeder pilots and don't want to get into that. I have enough commissions I'm trying to do right now as it is so I am having a hard time making customs just for myself lately.

 :)

No, it's because our Sarcasm-o-meters are a little more effective than you think. ;)

Do we KNOW the monster's underscaled? :)

Seriously though...  uh, do we?  I've never seen pictures of it to know one way or another so to me this is as good a scale as anything for it...  I dig the monster...  Hasbro should've put (albeit ugly) articulated arms on the figure if they're going to do it...  The R2 is uninteresting.

The ship's uninteresting to me as well...  I'm loathing saying this, but I'm probably gonna buy this for the monster...  I hate myself.

I'm buying an opener because of the retooled Luke. I'm still a fan of the original, and this looks to correct my complaints of neutral arms and head sculpts, so I'll be happy to finally get my wish with this.
