Lack of new figures bringing boredom?
« on: May 6, 2006, 12:00 PM »
There have been quite a few complaints about how fast the figures are coming out, and people need to catch up. I respect your opinion, but I also have an opinion of my own. In my eyes, the last few weeks have brought a lack of new figures, at least for me. I found my VTSC a month ago. I got what I wanted out of the Coruscant wave 3-4 weeks ago. I hardly ever go to Target, so their exclusives will be hard to get for me (luckily I'm going there today though). Then, even after I find the Target exclusives, I will be sitting through months of NO NEW FIGURES (I'm referring to the H&V waves. I don't consider them new figures). So, my question is, do you think there is a lack of new figures right now? Is this boring you?
Yo is what yo is.

After the insane amount of stuff that's come out in the first third of the year, I've been enjoying the break.

I'm enjoying the break as well. I don't want the Tatooine wave to start showing up until June.

No boredom for me since I'm still trying to finish my set of carded UGHs.

Both my wallet and I would be happy to get a break...   ;)

I still have to get a second of VTSC, and I just got Scorch, which finally brings me up to date, so a bit of break is good right now.

I do fear that by the time the Tatooine wave is out, we'll be too inundated by the Coruscant wave for them to show up. There's been about four of five cases of the Coruscant wave at local retail in the last week.

I welcome the much needed break.  This is perfect time for rebuilding dioramas and customizing figures and vehicles.

I do not like running around every few days like a decapitated chicken for Hasbro's sake.  Also my gasoline bill can take a break.

I'm glad for the break, but I still want more clones. :'( ;)

ok...I'll be the first to admit..I'm bored.  The last two regular waves have been Prequel stuff, which to me is the equivilant to a Power Ranger figure.

I haven't gotten a regular carded figure since early Feb.

I have all my VOTC2 stuff either in hand or ordered through online cases or ebay, so I am pretty much sitting around counting the days till the Mos Eisley wave shows up in the States.

Tru dat.

Seriously though, us poor Canadian slobs are still waiting around for those VOTC2 figs.  You lucky yankee bastards.

During this so called "break" I have spent nearly $200 in the last week :-X I don't have that kind of money... oh well I guess I can go without food for a week or two.

This isn't exactly a break to me... I'm still playing catchup. Just a few more Coruscant figures and Scorch, then the VTSC, and then I'll be caught up. And before that happens, the Tatooine wave will be found.

Same story over here. If I lived a little bit north of Orange County I'd probably be with Matt and all the LA crew, all caught up, but I'm actually pretty behind on this new stuff.

I've been caught up for over a month now. The only knew SW item was the Gunship my son bought. I am anxiously waiting also for the Hunt for Grevious to either arrive at TRU or come to me via the mail and Amazom.  I have Tat. on order from EE so I am in no rush for that.  I have enjoyed the break over all as I am back to teaching until June 30, and for the fact I am taking master courses online, and have a ton of stuff to do for another class  I have taken all year (I have to build a portfolio to show what I have learned).  Anyway, so the break is at a good time. I can rebuild my money back up.
