Yes, well...you have to realize that I grew up in the 60s watching "Lost in Space" first run...

Back then, you didn't lust after the brunette who was young enough to be your kid sister, you lusted after that older blonde girl who could be your hot babysitter.

But, there is something to be said for the grown-up version of Angela Cartwright...

 I had every reason to lust after said brunette.  Nothing at all wrong with older women.  Oh, and I too was watching it first run :) though I doubt I recall the first run.  More like re-run.
