Well six seconds doesn't give you a whole lot of opportunity to get your foot in the door.  I'm caving if and/or when the next price drop happens.  Been getting most of my PS2 games out of my system and into Gamestop these past few months.

Goldbox was $40 for Fallout 3 and $45 for Killzone 2. Easy pass for me, both. Can't believe Fallout 3 wasn't $30 or less.

I paid almost that much for a used copy of  Killzone 2 on eBay.  So far it's been worth it.

Killzone looks good, sounds good. But I hated the demo. As linear as the beach landing was, I still managed to get lost for a few minutes. The controls also felt sluggish. Tell me the full version is better. I want to like it.

I really want Fallout 3, but I refuse to pay more than $30 for it, knowing there's been talks of an expanded edition.

They patched KZ2 to make the controls more responsive.  The original was designed not to feel exactly like COD4, but all they got were complaints so they changed it.  It is linear, but I haven't gotten lost yet.

Is the PS2 dead already?  I just finished TFU so that shows you how behind the times I am.  Anywho - One of my local Targets has maybe 1/4 of their PS2 games on clearance and the other 3/4 were completely gone from behind the glass case.  Guess it might be just a little kick in the pants as to being time to upgrade.  Either that or I have a rouge Target in my neck of the woods.

PS2 just dropped to $99.  There's still an occasional new game released, but for the most part developers have moved on to the PS3.  I expect a price cut to be announced prior to E3 in a few weeks, so you might want to hold your horses until mid-May.

And yes, I know it sounds stupid for me to complain about a game seeming linear, and about getting lost in the same game.

Nah... some of the maps are rough.  They did a good job of masking the linearity by making some areas look very open.  That little objective pointer has proven valuable already.

Pictures of what appears to be a redesigned PS3 have appeared on Chinese message boards.

Fake? Maybe. But its worth noting that the PSP-3000 was revealed in much the same way, and those images were also greeted with skepticism.

Could this be a move by Sony to get the price down?

Interesting....Skinny, and ugly all at the same time.  I really want a PS3, but that $399-$499 pricetag is killing that for me.

So my father in law owns a building and the guying renting it out up and left. For some reason he left behind thousands of dollars of electronics like a camera, ipod, camcorder, and a ps3. So I ended up with the PS3 but it has no cables or controller. I have an old computer power cable and that works, but what else would I need to see if it even works. Just an AV cable and controller? If it doesnt work Im wondering if I can send it to Sony to be fixed or I read that you can buy a refurbished one for 150 if it is out of warranty. My only hope is that its not stolen, seriously

You're pretty much correct.  They'll repair it for $150 if it's out of warranty.  And you'll just need a controller and a/v cable.  I wouldn't worry about it being stolen... the worst they can do it take possession.

New skinny piece of **** PS3 still can't play a $20 PS2 game.
