If you don't actually use the thing you'll be fine.  Just because somebody give you a $2000 line of credit doesn't mean you're forced to go out and spend $2000.

Christmas fell through without a new ps3, but I'm still reluctant on the price despite the BR player.  Still have too many ps2 games that I don't want to let go yet.

Speak of the devil...I actually just beat GOW2 less than a week ago.  Can you tell I'm behind the times?  AWESOME FRANCHISE though!  This makes me a step closer to a PS3....Someday.   :-\

The backwards compatibility is a joke - Battlefront II doesn't even work on my PS3.  $400 machine can't even play a $20 PS2 game.

The Wii kicks the **** of the PS3 when it comes to wireless connectivity (my PS3 hasn't even been online yet despite the fact that it sits right NEXT to the Wii) and overall fun factor (have you seen the old NES games available for purchase)?

After fifteen years of loyalty, I'm done with Sony.  It's no wonder they lost the console war.

Their $3000 televisions even rank below $1400 Samsungs. . .

which PS3 do you have? because the newer ones cant play PS2 games but some of the old ones can. and dont do wireless with the PS3, even when you do get a connection its weak( i have wireless sadly) however online gaming is free so dont complain about that..its better that paying yearly fees thats for sure.

If you can't figure out PS3's wireless it's your own stupid fault.  I had mine set up in 5 minutes, and the connection has never dropped.

I have the 80GB MGS4 version - it's backwards compatible.  Online gaming is free with Nintendo too.  And it works with wireless.

Don't start.

I set up my Wii in five minutes so why is the PS3 not picking up the signal?  For the same reason it can't play one of the best selling PS2 games.

It's an overpriced piece of ****!

I haven't checked the backward compatibility list of the MGS 80-Gig, but I know it was more limited than the earlier 60-Gig.  Maybe BF2 isn't on the list.

As far as wireless, you're the only person I've ever known who couldn't set it up correctly.  As such, I blame user error.
