Gentle Giant Bust Ups!

Picked up Hoth set at Suncoast today.  I got all regs and one variant Wampa.

Have yet to get the Hoth wave yet.  Hoping tomorrow at the local comic shops. 

Also lost my mind and ordered a couple more 4 packs to get Gree

If anyone wants a BD set of clones for $20 (I'll eat the shipping from SWS.com) plus shipping to you, LMK.  I'd trade for some Hoth chase too if anyone has spares.  Mostly wanting the snowtrooper chase.

Sadly I was stupid and snagged them at the first and most expensive of the stores ($1 more per bustup).  Guy was at least honest though, told me up front they got in two cases, two chase per and they were already gone.  Imagine my surprise when I got home and found a Han ice version in the Han box

One other retailer had already opened and pulled the chase out of his case as well

The third guy, a shop drewlam told me about actually had sealed boxes.  I was wishing I'd bought them there both because they were a dollar cheaper and sealed with nothing missing from his case.  Wouldn't let me scope through them either because he said that takes away from other people buying them.  Pretty cool notion I thought.  He'll be getting more of my business. 

I also picked up a second snowtrooper for no particularly good reason.  Haven't put them together but it looks like an awesome  wave, the Wampa weighs a ton. 

If anyone does locate a snowtrooper or Vader chase and doesn't want it, I'd be happy to have it.

I picked up this set the other day too. I really like it, the details are great!
Wampa is huge, and funny to see with just half a jaw on there.
I pulled 2 Ice variations, Han and Snowtrooper. I left them at the shop and
if someone is looking for them when they buy bust ups, we`ll tell them we
have those 2 already to go.
I just have the basic line, no SWS.com ones or anything, but I really love
these. I think I have a chase or 2 from the 1st & 2nd sets, but nothing I would
go out of my way to get.

For some reason, our local comic shop hasn't seemed to get this wave in yet.  I was hoping to pick them up yesterday (or last week even), but still no sign.  I'm considering just ordering a "set of 6" online, but we'll see for now.  It would be nice to not have to pay the shipping, but oh well.

Hmm, they shipped from Diamond last week, so they should have gotten them.
They may have ordered from another distributor though. Diamond does suck
though, so they might want to email their rep and ask about them.

Thanks to a tip from Ben, I FINALLY found the ROTS bust-ups in town tonight.  I got my Sidious piece to make my custom Senate Duel Paply.

This is lame, but now I want more of hte ice versions   Snowtrooper and Vader for sure, Wampa and AT-AT driver would be cool.  That would only leave aside Luke, since I scored the Han by accident already.  Pa-*******-thetic, that's me

Best way I could find to display my bust ups so far.
I have them on top of the window blinds box, but I`m running out of room!
1 more series and it will be full. I don`t buy exclusives or chases, so that saved
me room 


First wave is probably my least favorite. I got series 2 first. Had I gotten
series 1 first, I might not have kept on buying these things.

Jay, where do you go that lets you open the boxes? I'm looking for other places to purchase these than just Frank's. They open all of them and take the variants so have no chance in getting one from there at retail.

Yeah, I'd be curious to know too.  I'm just getting into these things further, and I really would like to have a Stormtrooper as part of the "line up" if possible since I missed those earlier waves.  I think I'm going to give the local comic shop one last look this week to see if they get the Hoth wave, and if not, I'm just going to order a set online.  It looks like a really great wave overall.  I don't care really if I get any of the variants, but it might be neat to have one or two.  We'll see.
