Diddly, why not just get the Target Senate packs?  For $20 you get two superior Shocktroopers, a Senate pod and a Palpatine you can customize.

 :)

True, but it's the Yoda and Palpatine actually keeping me from getting more. Plus, the way these are piling up, I'm hoping I can get some on clearance.

True, when they release the Mace Windu Squadron set, they might clearance those Senate ones out.  If so, I'll be wanting to get a few more.

 :)

Sounds and looks like that crappy KB ROTS pack.  Big pass.

If anyone gets this set and DOES NOT want their Sith Eyes Anakin, please let me know. I'd like one, as I don't own any Anakin figures from E3.

Hmmm...

Good:
Anakin Skywalker (ROTS #28 Sith Eyes) - I finally get my Sith Eyes opener
Shocktrooper (#6 repaint) - I can always use more troopers

Meh:
R2-D2 (TSC #10 only Silver) - not too bad... I'll find a place for him

Bad:
Darth Vader (ROTS #11) - more vader = ugh.
General Grievous (TSC #30 repack) - I just bought this guy.  Ugh.
Obi-Wan Kenobi (ROTS #55 again) - Again?  Ugh.

I guess that means I'll probably end up buying this one...

I don't know Jeff, if they're going to be putting an Obi-Wan into the set, they've put the right one in. The #55 Obi-Wan pilot is the premiere ROTS Obi-Wan and whenever Hasbro is going to have an ROTS Obi-Wan out there, it should be this figure. It baffles the mind, why they re-released the crappy #1 Obi-Wan in the H&V line, when the #55 Obi-Wan was right alongside of it in the Coruscant wave.

And as far as the Anakin goes, that's a big blah, they continuously re-release ROTS Anakins that are so ****** compared to the Evolutions ROTS Anakin that it's just pathetic. This will be what the 3rd or 4th ROTS Anakin re-released this year and they're all sub-par quality compared to the Evo Anakin. Oh well, that means at least I could pass on this set, it would have been something to pick-up if relatively inexpensive with the Evo Anakin, now's its just crap.

Damn my Vader addiction!  I must have this.  Besides, I think it's a great looking set, graphic wise.

Yeah, I agree that if Obi-Wan is in there, he should be the #55 version.  My only problem is that I've purchased TWO of those in the last 6 months (Sep of Twins, Saga-028) and there is another one on the way (Ep3 Greatest Battles).

I guess I just would have rather seen them toss someone else in that pack... like maybe another Clone or Tarkin and then just go with a "Bad Guy" theme on the set.

To make me buy the set?

Evolutions Anakin...  Sith Eyes, Mustafar Battle Damage...  This alone would've driven me to buy the set actually.

Obi Pilot...  Mustafar Battle Damage...

This would clear up 2 repaints I SO want in this line.  Mustafar battle versions of the best sculpts of these two characters.  As it is though it's something I'll pass on easily despite my want for more shocktroopers.

Throwing in a Wookiee Gunner in some figure's place would've been nice too though.  That figure was a rough find.

Gotcha Jeff, I can see where seeing the same figure is annoying, we all know that from Cantina Han. I'm surprised Hasbro didn't throw a Neimodian into this one just to screw with people. :D

Jesse: excellent idea - one day perhaps we can get such figures, but they'd probably be $20 exclusives :(

As per our front page story:

Episode III Giftpack Images

The set could be better obviously...  I think that Anakin and SHocktrooper may move this set better than some people may think.  It's nothing I'm in need of though so I'm passing.  I really wish ROTS army builders were put in giftpacks like this.  You put out a pack of just a mix of army builders and stuff, and I'm in...  Put a set out like with a Wookiee Heavy Gunner, 501st (#6 sculpt), Shocktrooper,  Utapau Warrior...

Or even if you slipped in the (it's fun to dream) repaint of Pilot Obi and Evolution Anakin for Mustafar duel versions, and just filled the set with like a couple different types of Clones, and I'd be all over it.

Any idea where or when these are supposed to hit shelves?
The Force is strong in this one,... too bad his action figure sucks.
