30AC McQuarrie/Concept Figures

What's not cool is the WV2 Rev. 6, no McQ figs, a complete case of army builders.

Aww, bummer.

So when does this case come out?

I've already seen a couple at Walmart. The local Walmart got in about 4-6 cases and about half of them were WV2 Rev6. I opened one of each and the Rev6 has no McQuarrie figures.

Besides the first McTrooper I saw at retail when the first sightings of Wave 1 surfaced at K-Mart stores many moons ago, I had never seen any McFigures at retail, ever...  I finally found a couple figures tonight.  McTrooper and McFett chilling at Wal-Mart.

No McBacca, no Wave 3, and really only some Wave 2 remnants (not many) and lots of Wave 1 army builders and Death Star Troopers.  Not that I'm complaining about those figure choices, I want more of all 3 really, but other than the McFigures there they had nothing really amazing either.

So does that mean they scrapped the Concept Grievous?

I would think the "Concept Grievous" is the pre-cyborg Grievous that is coming in the McVader wave.

Concept Grievous is a SDCC Exclusive (Pre-Cyborg is a basic figure), and I'm guessing they aren't counting him as he isn't part of the "McQuarrie" line by their logic there.  THe "unannounced" one is perhaps the rumored "Rebel Trooper" (Not McQuarrie in Hoth Rebel Officer gear, but a concept Rebel Trooper design, perhaps the Hoth designs which were a bit different compared to the Fleet designs that were pretty similar to the final look).  He's been on rumor lists, so I'm guessing that's it.

Its gonna be Rebel Trooper, unfortunately. I too would much rather it be Emperor, though.

AND, please note that the sticker sheet also lists General McQuarrie without mentioning him as part of the concept line.

I'm still not sure why Hasbro is still being coy about that AotC Wave when so many of the figures (Voolif Mon, Concept Rebel, Droideka w/Shield) have been leaked or hinted at... hopefully the wave is shown at SDCC so this can be settled once and for all.

Any concept art pics of the McQuarrie Rebel Trooper?  I can't remember what it looks like.  Watch them go all out on this figure, and then when the time does come for a new Rebel Fleet Trooper, for it to be a letdown. 

Anyways, a concept Emperor would be fantastic.  I wish that were coming.

I'm assuming we'll get a Hoth Rebel, not the Fleet Trooper.  The designs are radically different for the Hoth characters (as noted with the Snowtrooper), whereas the Fleet Trooper sketches show a character that really is just the Fleet Troopers we see on screen with red shirts...  not much different at all.

The Hoth Soldiers though, are a substantial difference in looks/costume, like the Snowtrooper, and a Hoth Rebel complements the Snowtrooper I think well...  I'm banking on Hoth then.

Ok, thanks Jesse.  I seem to remember some sort of image in my head of a concept ANH Rebel, but looked around a bit and didn't see a visual.  Hoth concept would be nice, and will probably go well with the concept Snowtrooper.
