Hinske is even less common than that.  I had the great good fortune ::) of being around as a Walmart employee put out three cases.  Only two variants, which I still have, and precisely zero Hinske.

McFarlane pack ratios are truly a mystery.  The most rare figure from NFL4 is Sehorn, or so it was reported by staff on that board.

Really?  I've got 6 Sehorns!  Two variants, and a couple each of the sock variants.

Regarding Sehorn, yes, production was very low on him.  The catch being that unlike others with low production, the high demand simply isn't there that much.  Urlacher was produced more, so was Vick.

I have a degree of skepticism about sportspicks.  They are extremely hot right now, but like anything, I expect them to decrease in value.

I'm sorry Scott, were you saying you needed more of my comics? ;D

I'm still searching for a variant Vick and a regular Urlacher.  Forget about a variant of him.  It's positively ridiculous!

All of football is ridiculous.  It's just insane.  The difficulty is figuring out (guessing) whether it will be worthwhile to order cases of NFL6 and 7 just to drop on ebay.  Funding the Star Wars (and hockey) habit by use of McFarlane football.

and before anyone craps on me for scalping (which would indeed be correct in a sense) go spend a week reading the mcfarlane board.  It is a whole different world over there and ebay prices rule.  You end up making friends and helping each other out, but by and large, ebay sets the prices.  I'd dearly love to have a 49ers Rice to open and display but he was near $100 from the get go and never came down.  No way am I paying that for a figure like that.

I have two of the repaints and those are the most I've ever paid for single figs.  I got a great deal from one guy (also a SW collector, almost former collector) on the Roy repaint for around $50 US and found the repaint Cujo for $75 Cdn in town.  Most recent sales of those two on ebay were between $110-130 US each.

I managed to get two cases of NHL5 from a site that has already shut down taking orders.  Lots of good reason to be a regular customer ;D

I count myself lucky that I've got a couple of friends who collect Sports Picks and we look out for each other.  But it's really gotten dog-eat-dog in the world of Sports Picks.  The guys who used to collect Starting Lineup are fully into it now, and more people have gotten into it, too.  This line has definitely become a favorite of eBay scalpers.

I'm lucky enough to be close to one of the events where McFarlane's going to have some exclusives.  I missed out on the Super Bowl set.  But, I should be able to get the set that's going to be available in Atlantic City.  Forget about the sets that are going to be in Chicago or at the Football Hall of Fame.

Yep, I missed on the Super Bowl sets too.  Just not going to part with that kind of money.  I know one of the guys that was in the lucky 100 though.  He deserved to be there too.  Same guy that got me into collecting them.

I don't even look at the exclusives because I know I'll simply never see them.  Too bad, some are cool.  I won't get mad about it though until there is a hockey exclusive.  That will be painful.  Shouldn't complain too much though as we see all of the hockey exclusives up here.  Oly sets, TML 3 pack, 2-2packs, now NHL5.  Of course that just offsets all the SW contests I can never, ever enter because of my Canucklehead status.

OK Brent, Nick, Scott, Jim, and everyone else digging these McFarlane Sportspicks...

The Sportspicks discussion had taken on a life of it's own in it's former What else do you collect? thread, so I've decided to pull it all out of that thread, and give you guys your very own special McFarlane Sportspicks thread right here to discuss these things to your heart's content!  So knock yourselves out!  No need to thank me though...   8)

Enjoy, and sorry for the interruption!  Please continue on now...    :-*

So how many of you have Shaq and Kobe sitting on your nightstand?  Oh come on, 'fess up now!  I know you do!  Especially Scott and Brent!   ;D

My pleasure Nick!  Seemed there was more than enough interest in this line to warrant it's own thread.  Enjoy, and May the Force be with your Sportspicks!   :D

Items I'll never own but would like to -  click here

Sigh, not sure if McFarlane is smart or dumb.  I just hope he doesn't put out an uber cool hockey goalie exclusive that I can't get.

The San Diego stuff is most interesting as it is comic related, but just to have some of those sports exclusives to own and open would be cool.  Then post loose pics over at McFarlane ;D

Well, I can say with a fairly high degree of certainty that I'm going to get the Atlantic City exclusives.  And I want to get more than one, so I can open Tiki!  As for the rest, I gotta see if I can cook something up.
