No Varitek email for me.  Just continues my streak of never getting anything like that (SB exclusives, Deions, etc.) on Spawn.com.  I was gonna trade it anyway.

Screw McFarlane.  As cool as the Umpire is, I wouldn't buy this set on principle since the catcher is a Red Sox player.  Any other team would've been fine.

BTW, anyone been seeing these solid regional cases showing up?  I've been seeing solid cases of Tiki Barber and Lawrence Taylor around here lately.

Heards lots of reports about them on Spawn and my buddy's TRU here in So Cal got a solid case of Moss.

It doesn't warrant its own thread, so I thought I'd mention that Canadian McDonald's are currently running their hockey card promotion.  Between the BK star wars promo and the hockey card thing I've been in way too many fast food restaurants of late. 

Hockey cards are three pack limit per item purchased.  I've taken to doing them in the morning and just tossing the hash browns out.  I've yet to find a sympathetic manager that will let me skip the food thing :-\ 

I've bought 17 packs of cards ($0.99 for three card pack) and have picked up 7 inserts so far.  No Crosby card yet though :(
