NHL 19 pics are up.

Oooh, what do they call this series?  The goalies that never did anything in those unis? (Parent excepted and the only one I'm interested in).  Clearly Todd is a huge Grant Fuhr fan.  I think the Grapes fig will sell well too (up here anyway) but I'll pass since I have what I want.  Kovalev is deserving, but a weird fit in that series.

Big Bad Toy Store just got in McFarlane MLB Series 21 in stock. The Mauer and Garciaparra are both sold out already. I luckily pre-ordered my Mauer since it will be next to impossible to find locally.

I guess you're in MN?  Here in NY, when a Yankee or Met comes out (which is every single year) Walmart gets like 30-40 of each figure and they sit for months.

Walmart in MN doesn't exhibit this same phenomenon?

I was wondering what it was like in other cities with local teams.  Here in KC we've only had one Royals Sportspick figure (Mike Sweeney) and I never once saw him at retail.  There have been a few KC Chiefs but they're generally very hard to find at retail here.

Hell no....The Wal-Marts here if they get McFarlane stuff only get 1-2 cases total and the local players (even Packers) disappear faster than you can blink an eye. I have a friend in Chicago that will probably be able to find one on the shelf for me, but from February to June he does very little collectables shopping as he is a track coach for his school and is busy 7 days a week. So it is easier for me to pre-order my stuff that he would be looking for himself that is released durring that time frame.

Actually bought a couple of sportspicks today...

NBA Legends Bill Russell.  Hate the pose really, so much more they could have done with him.  But at $4 on clearance, how do you not buy it?

And speaking of clearance, I did buy the 12" Bobby Orr figure.  I passed at $29.92, I passed at $20, I passed at $15.00 but I gave in at $10.  Gotta check the stores to see if they drop them to $5 so I can get some money back.

I'm a fan of LDT, but how many figures of him are they going to release?
I love that they're doing a Devin Hester.  It's not very often that you get a figure of a return man.

I believe that's the 5th version of LT.  I skipped the 1st version, bought the next 3, and I'll probably get this one too.  This one looks to be the best.  He's been the dominant, or one of the 3 dominant RB's for like 6 straight seasons, which is pretty unheard of in the NFL.  I'd complain, but being that we're getting Hester, Brandon Jacobs, and A-Pete in this wave, and since the LT looks so sweet, I'll take it.

NBA Legends Series 4

Hmmm.  Maybe Iceman.  Dr. J looks good too, but I've already got my Sixers Erving.  Bird looks horrible, but I may still buy it anyway.
