Really the story for me this month has been Eddie Griffin of the 'Wolves caught masturbating with a porn flick in his car console's DVD player while he sat there in a drunk stupor in his crashed up car.

These are just allegations, of course.

Am I the only one who heard this?

No ... I heard about it as well.  When the story first broke, I laughed for a good two minutes straight upon hearing it.  It has been the highlight of the off-season, bar none.

I know, but at least it looks like they got themselves a pretty great rookie in the draft (Randy Foye).

I heard last night that the Timberwolves have signed PG Mike James now as well.  Not necessarily a blockbuster deal, but he's a pretty solid player.

Drinking and cavorting with the ladies is what our atheletes do best, whether on a boat cruise or in the privacy of their own cars.   :P

mike james must have REALLLY wanted to play with KG to have signed with an extremely bad team in a city that many consider exile and have to play with a knucklehead who can't even zip up after crashing his car.

Maybe not major NBA news, but it sounds like Nashty cut his "trademark" hair for the beginning of training camp.  Ok, slow NBA news day :P.

Considerably slower news today than two days ago. . .

that is kinda weird to see nash with a buzz cut.  i imagine he will do just like his big buddy dirk and let it grow back out thru the season.

how big is okc?  i have always thought of it as way too small for a major franchise. and, even at that, i kinda thought the hornets were still sorta playing there.

The "new" Team USA beat Puerto Rico in a scrimmage last night, 116-82.  It seemed to be a pretty solid victory, which is a big deal.  Gone are the days of blowing teams out.  After the last Olympics, we now should be happy with mere wins.

For anyone who's interested (which seems to be no one), Team USA has an exhibition game against Puerto Rico tonight, and it's being televised on ESPN2 at 11:00 EST.
