Why no Battle Droids?
« on: June 29, 2006, 09:35 PM »
Anyone else a little frustrated that there's no mention of Battle Droids for the next year or so?  I know they're nowhere as popular as Clones... but they're the grunts of the Separatists...

I'm bummed as well. I really want some droids for my clones to fight! I have only a couple TPM ones, and I'd love to get more.

You guys forgot that there is a SBD out next year & hopefully it'll be SA.Also there wasn't a TPM wave listed so maybe there's a new BD in that wave if we get one.I want some BDs badly too, thoe.

Well, Super Battle Droids to me aren't the same.  They're just not as abundant as regular Battle Droids in the Separatist armies.

Maybe we'll get some Battle Droids in the rumored Battle Packs for next year?

There haven't been that many things revealed for next year, yet.  My guess is that we'll see at least one, if not two of the '07 waves before the end of 2006.

I can't believe they haven't done a Blue Battle Droid aside from the "Mini-Rig" pack-in.

Word! They could have easily made simple repaints with the H& V crap, but no we get straight up rehash.
Battle Droids sold way better than the Super Battle Droids in CA, NJ and IL. I lived in all 3 states, but I am not surprised by this move.

But there is EE hinted about an exclusive we could not live without thats coming up after Kir, might it be Battle droid packs like the Clones/R2 Droids? :o

Hopefully we'll get an SA, sturdy plastic Battle Droid in one of the 07' waves.

I would be happy with a 5-pk of the ROTS ones... they really do stand ok in my opinion, at least better than the previous Battle Droids.  Except the Security Droid, that one really stands well.

After building a nice sized clone army, I need some battle droids for them to fight. A good bit of SBDs too. Here's hoping they use good plastic next time!  :P

previously i have avtually preffered the TPM battle droids because of the sturdy plastic, most of the other battle droids are to flimsy and don't stand near as well. i would definetley love to see a battle pack that included a couple battle droids though. i would settle for some sort of resculpted arm set up in a permanent blaster holding position and TPM lower legs, that would be cool!

For some reason I'm disagreeing with you a lot lately. :)

I can't stand any of the battle droids that have come out so far - they fall off my shelves a few times a week it seems and wont' stand at all unless propped up against something.

If they don't intend on making one with strong, sturdy legs, I hope they don't make one at all - and I certainly hope they don't try to pass us more of the crappy ones.
