I picked up one of these sets last week off of a Target endcap, and noticed that the whole endcap had now sold out as of this weekend.  Apparently they moved pretty well here anyways.  Not too bad of a value really though, especially considering the current price of basic figures.  Getting 5 for $18.99 isn't too bad.

Even if you count Windu out, that is still 4 cool clones for 20.  Can't complain.

I  scored one of these today at Target.  Luckily there were enough left on the shelf to be able to pick and choose.  Got one with minimal damage to the hands and weapons...though one blaster was still bent to hell. At least I got a good rifle on the commander.  I was on the fence on this set until I saw it in person.  Wasn't too thrilled about another monkey arms Mace, but the cloak hides it well.  The prospect of purple clones didn't excite me too much either, but they are more of a metallic purple...the effect is actually pretty cool!

Doesn't seem that there's going to be a shortage of these. Good news for the casual collector.

I have seen over a dozen myself at different Targets.

Yeah I didn't mind the "value" on these mysefl...  Mace aside, 4 Clones for $20-ish isn't horrid, plus I can find a use for the cloak easily enough since hardly any Jedi in ROTS came with them.  Of my two sets, I gave one cloak to Kit Fisto and one to Sae Sae Tinn.  They both needed some duds.

The saber is good for the fodder bin since purple sabers aren't in abundance really.  Hand it off to Mara Jade maybe after a repaint?  She did use a purple one she built herself later in her story...  It's something to consider.

Does the 30 AC version come with a removable helmet?

I got 2 with the Mace BP's, repainted one of them, looked at the pic of the upcoming AC version and noticed some subtle helmet shape differences.

In the Mace BP version, the helmet looks narrower and longer top to bottom as seen here in my pic:

However, if you look at the Hasbro picture of the version coming in January, the helmet looks slightly shorter top to bottom and wider:

I realize that the rebreather in the 30 AC version has more black paint lateral to the black paint in the Mace BP version, maybe that contributes to the effect of a helmet shape difference?

How did you get rid of the purple paint?
Just Paint over it or did you remove it(please specify how you removed it)

PM sent ATL.

Now, getting back to this difference between the Mace BP helmet and the 30 AC helmet...

Anyone else see it?

I thought I had read somewhere that the Basic figure had a removable helmet as well. I'd bet money it does.
