Yup, just remembered 40% for Riddell so not quite 1/2, substantially larger...

Just browsed some of the eBay auctions on the Riddell helmets, and I've refreshed my memory on the scale - they're actually 45%, so just about 1/2.

BTW, if anyone's desperate enough and has big enough cojones, here's a Stormtrooper helmet auction with a BIN of "just" $175, which is about $50 below the current going rate...

Still too rich for my blood though!  Anyone?

Tempting, no customs fees as the auction is in Canada.

Brent, where the hell are (were) our updates on the Stormtrooper?!  How'd we (you) miss this one?  "Only" $159, and the seller was here in L.A. so I could've just picked it up in person and saved on shipping costs.  Damn.  I might've actually gone for that one had I seen it...   :-\

Done.  Finally, done.

Yes, it is too much for a loose one but they seem to have become less common in the last few months.  I'll likely regret not having the box and have some minor concerns about the condition of this one.  But I sold off a vintage lot, regaining $100, so if I subtract that (as my mind must to justify this one), then it's only around $68 new.  But it is done. :)

Yikes!   :o

But I guess CONGRATULATIONS are in order for finally finishing off your Riddell set there Brent, even if it came at a kinda steep price...  Good feeling, eh?   8)

Haven't been pursuing that elusive and expensive Stormie myself in quite a while now, but it's still on my eventual hit list sometime down the road.  I'm gonna need the box though...   ;)

Someday...  But at least there's one complete set in the JD house now!  Nice job.  Hopefully it looks nice and spiffy when it arrives!  Take a picture of it with the rest and show it off!  Don't forget to put yourself in the picture too, eh!   :-*

Got a wild request for anyone wanting to help a guy out ;)

Years past, I was moving my Riddel mini helmet collection, and my bro spilt motor oil all over my five boxes. I was able to get the helmets and papers out no problem, but the boxes were destroyed. If anyone doesnt care about keeping their boxes, and wants to sell me theirs, I'll gladly take them off your hands! :)

i still need to finish off my collection of these as well... all i need is the x-wing and c-3po, but i just don't really care all that much. i got the ones i really wanted - fett, vader and the stormtrooper. i'd love to get another fett and re-paint it to a jango, but they are just too damn expensive.

August 16 - September 28.  Can you say sucky mail system.  Good seller though.  Extremely well packed item in excellent condition.  He mailed it quickly and then emailed me twice asking if I'd received it yet.

It is done.  I'll get some pics off to someone on here when I get it home.

Congrats B!   8)

Still short that thing myself.  Annoying.  Though I haven't bothered pursuing one in quite some time.  Maybe if/when I ever get the collection room organized, and get the other 4 out on display, the glaring hole of the missing Stormie will spurn me to action finally...

These are just such fine pieces.  The detail as we all know is incredible, but man, that stormy is pretty.  Just brings a huge smile to my face and it is going to be nice being done that part of the collection.  I'm sure with patience I could have done better, but it's nice not having to watch every single auction now.  Here's what I paid for them, minus the shipping:

C-3PO $9.99
Vader $24.99
X-wing $58.00 (something like that, I don't remember exactly)
Boba $65
Stormtrooper $175

All pretty good prices relative to the time they were bought.  I've seen each go for considerably more.   :)
